Bollywood actor, Farhan Akhtar's recent film 120 Bahadur has been playing in theatres since November 21, 2025. The film has received praise from viewers since its premiere. Amidst this, Farhan Akhtar appeared on an episode of Unfiltered by Samdish (and a fantastic team) on his film's launch day to talk not only about his films but also his failures, politics, writing, and more. One thing that struck viewers the most during Akhtar's interview with Samdish was when he opened up about his yet-to-be-released film, Jee Le Zaraa, and how stressful its delay has been for the actor.
For those unversed, Farhan Akhtar is not only an amazing actor, but he has also done some work behind the scenes, especially in the role of director. During his interview with Samdish on his YouTube channel, in an episode titled Aisa Interview Na Milega Dobara Ft. Farhan Akhtar, the actor revealed how his film, Jee Le Zaraa, which he announced in 2021, has still not moved forward due to scheduling issues. Originally, the film was supposed to star Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, and Priyanka Chopra. However, it is to be seen whether the film will continue with its original cast or not when it finally gets released. Akhtar claimed:
"So my film Toofan was released in 2021, and right after that, I was set to direct a film called Jee Le Zara. It just kept getting delayed, and for those two years, I kept saying no to all other opportunities that came my way. I did that because when you have to direct, you can only focus on that. If an acting role came, I told them, 'No, I am soon going to be directing.'''

While the production dates continued to shift due to various reasons, Farhan Akhtar confessed that his insecurities began to get the better of him. This is the part that shocked viewers the most during his interview. He stated:
“It was such a stressful period because I thought that I was wasting time, and before I knew it, two and a half years had gone by. There are some personal insecurities as well. I started feeling that maybe people would think that I wouldn’t be able to direct. It had been 12 years since I had directed a film, and maybe people would doubt my skills. When you sit with a therapist and you tell these things, you start realising where all these things are coming from. Because I didn’t want to say, ‘Let me move on from this film.’”

The film's director, Farhan Akhtar, as well as its other makers, including Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, have stated various reasons for Jee Le Zaraa's delay. For instance, while the film was announced in 2021, scheduling conflicts with the lead actors, Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif, have repeatedly delayed production. According to Reema Kagti, the film's shooting was supposed to begin at the end of 2023. As of November 2025, although the film is not officially cancelled, we do not know when its shooting will commence and ultimately release in theatres.
