Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been hitting all the headlines with his debut web series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. The series is set in the backdrop of India's independence and essay the lives of the tawaifs of the red-light area named 'Heera Mandi' in Lahore. The cast features some A-listers from Bollywood, including Sonakshi Sinha, Sharmin Segal, Farida Jalal, Shekhar Suman, Fardeen Khan, Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Richa Chadha, among others. Recently, Fardeen Khan revealed some unheard anecdotes from the sets of Heeramandi, which are unmissable.
Recently, the cast of Heermandi sat for an interview with IMDb. During the conversation, Aditi Rao Hydari shared that the greatest love of SLB's life is his four-legged friends. Meanwhile, Taha Shah Badussha mentioned that Sanjay's favourite furry friend is named Jaanu.

On the other hand, Fardeen Khan shared that whenever SLB used to get frustrated on Heeramandi's set, his assistant directors used to send him his 25 furry friends, and his mood used to lighten up in just one minute. Fardeen can be quoted as saying:
"Whenever he used to get into a fluster or frustrated about something, the assistant directors would send these 25 dogs that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has on the sets of Heeramandi, and the minute they went on to set, he used to be calm.”
Going further in the interview, Fardeen Khan was asked to disclose lesser-known facts about Sanjay Leela Bhansali. To this, the actor mentioned that the director used to change his kurta 3 to 4 times a day, and every time he did it, he started blooming with new ideas. In Fardeen's words:
"There is one more thing. He changes his kurta 3-4 times a day. And after every change, there is this new thought in his mind.”

For the unversed, Fardeen Khan made his comeback after 14 years with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi. Talking about the same, Fardeen mentioned that to come back with someone like SLB was like a dream that had come true. He also added that Heeramandi was the second project that he had shot for, and his first project to mark his comeback was with Sanjay Gupta.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's most of the projects are based on courtesans' lives. There had been a lot of questions and criticism around Bhansali choosing to glorify brothels and courtesans' lives. Talking about why he opts to do the same, Bhansali, in an interview with Film Companion, stated that people are often sensitive to what they see as a child, which is the same with him as well. For the unversed, the director used to live in a chawl during the early phase of his life. In Bhansali's words:
"You’re sensitive to what you see as a child. How can a person’s rate be Rs 20? These were the things that stayed in my mind. But I could not tell them completely. I was finding them through Chandramukh... We are priceless for ourselves; we can’t be tagged. We can’t be sold for Rs 5 or Rs 20, or Rs 50. It is inhuman."
