Meet Farah Naaz, Short-Tempered Actress, Slapped Chunky Panday, Anger Issues Ruined Her Career

One of the popular actresses of the late 80 and early 90s, Farah Naaz was loved for her charming personality and style quotient. Elder sister of actress, Tabu and niece of Shabana Azmi, Farah entered showbiz at the tender age of 17 and proved her versatility with films like Imaandar, Naseen Apna Apna, Yateem, Khuda Gawah, Pati Patni Aur Tawaif and many more.

Throughout her career, Farah worked with some of the leading names of Bollywood like Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra, Rishi Kapoor, Vinod Khanna, Mithun Chakraborty, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor, Raj Babbar, Govinda, Aamir Khan, Rahul Roy, Kumar Gaurav, Sunny Deol, and many more. Despite being so successful, Farah’s career couldn’t flourish as a result, she left the industry.

Farah Naaz slapped Chunky Panday over a joke

One of the major reasons of Farah Naaz’s downfall was her anger issues. The actress was known for her blunt statements and no-nonsense attitude. She once slapped her co-star, Chunky Panday over a joke. Yes, you read that right. It so happened that when Farah Naaz was working with Chunky Pandey in the film, Kasam Vardi Ki in 1989, the latter cracked a joke that didn't go well with the actress. Reacting to the joke, the actress slapped Chunky, which shocked many. Soon the slap gate became a big controversy.

Farah Naaz threatened Anil Kapoor

Farah Naaz is one of the most short-tampered actress of Bollywood. Another controversy that surrounded Farah was when she starred with Anil Kapoor in the film, Rakhwala. However, the film flopped at the box office and later, Anil Kapoor reacted to the film’s failure and said that the film would have worked if Madhuri Dixit was cast opposite him. This comment from Anil irked Farah and she openly threatened Anil.

Farah Naaz’s troubled marriage with Vindu Dara Singh

Not just Farah Naaz’s anger issues, but her troubled marriage with actor, Vindu Dara Singh also made a lot of noise. Farah and Vindu met in the 90s, fell in love and got married in 1996. Farah and Vindu welcomed their first child, a baby boy, in 1997 and named him Fateh Randhawa. Unfortunately, after six years of their marriage, issues started cropping up.

As per multiple reports, Vindu and Farah's respective egos, were the major reasons for their troubled marriage.  In 2003, the couple legally got divorced and Fateh's custody was given to Farah. After her tragic divorce from Vindu Dara Singh, Farah Naaz gave love another chance when she met television actor, Sumeet Saigal. The duo fell in love and got married in 2003.

Farah Naaz’s short temper and her ugly divorce from Vindu Dara Singh garnered her a bad reputation in the industry, resulting in a complete failure of her career.
