Farah Khan's Cook, Dilip Gives Fans A Village Tour, Shows His Six-Bedroom House In-The-Making

Renowned Bollywood filmmaker and choreographer, Farah Khan has taken over YouTube with her highly entertaining daily vlogs, full of fun interactions with celebrities and a whole lot of cooking. Despite the presence of some renowned faces in Farah’s vlogs, it seems that the bigger highlight of these videos is none other than her home cook, Dilip. Fans love seeing his fun-filled cameos in Farah’s kitchen, and many even admittedly watch the vlogs to see more of him. Dilip has become a fan-favorite for everything he does, from roasting celebs with his deadpan humour to matching Farah’s sass with his clapbacks.

Farah Khan’s cook, Dilip, gives viewers a tour of his village

Farah’s cook, Dilip, comes from humble beginnings. He hails from a small village in Bihar but currently stays in Mumbai as the filmmaker’s reliable aide and home cook, without whom Farah looks lost in her daily vlogs. From flipping delicious paranthas at Farah’s kitchen, Dilip has become a star in his own right, thanks to his candid presence in the vlogs. In the latest vlog, the cook-turmed-celebrity took viewers on a tour of his ancestral home in Bihar.

In the vlog, Dilip welcomes viewers to his soon-to-be-completed three-story house in Darbhanga, Bihar. The house has six bedrooms, along with a lush farmland with mango trees and cattle. He also shows the serene lake near his house where people fish and bathe in the summers and also harvest water chestnuts. Further into the vlog, Dilip introduces his entire family, including his wife Savita, three sons, his brother’s family, and elderly parents. 

The vlog has since garnered over 6.2 million views, which shows just how much viewers loved to see Dilip’s heartwarming moments with his family. Netzens heaped praise at Dilip and Farah Khan for these fun moments. One user commented, “Dilip Rocks. Thanks, Farah, for all this hospitality because many Malkins don't understand these small things.” Another wrote, Sach me gaon dekhkar aur dilip ki family dekhkr Farah ma'am k liye dilse izzat badh gai. Ma'am ki wajah se aj ye sb h. Farah ma'am, I love u.” A third user praised Dilip’s simplicity and wrote, “Bihar innocence and Respectful nature.....saaf Dilip bhai mein dikhata hai.”

When Dilip demanded to be taken by BMW to meet SRK

In another moment from Farah Khan’s vlog with actor, Karan Patel, the choreographer casually asked Dilip, “Parso kiske saath shoot hai?” Without batting an eye, Dilip replied, “Shah Rukh Khan.” What left everyone in splits was when he cheekily added that he would need a BMW to get there. When Karan offered to be his driver, Dilip, in peak star mode, quipped:

“Only after Farah ma’am gifts me a new model!”

Well, with his rising fandom, fans find something undeniably heartwarming about Dilip’s rise — not because it’s unexpected but because it feels earned. His fun bond with the choreographer, the ease with which he handles fame, and the simplicity he brings to the screen are what truly set him apart.
