Ozzy Osbourne was a singer and a songwriter, who rose to fame with the song, Crazy Train. Last week, on July 22, 2025, a lot of his fans were left heartbroken, when the amazing singer died because of Parkinson's disease. But, there are fans, who cannot forget him, so fans from across the world had gathered to bid farewell to him during the funeral procession through the streets of his hometown.
Ozzy Osbourne’s funeral procession began at 1 p.m. (local time) in his hometown, Birmingham, where his band, Black Sabbath was created. The procession went through Broad Street, which is a popular area of the city and it ended at a very special place, which is the Black Sabbath Bridge. A lot of fans were a part of it.
The Black Sabbath Bridge, is a special and meaningful symbol for fans. It features a bench and statues of the four members of Black Sabbath, which were Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward. After Ozzy's death, fans from around the world visited the bridge and filled it with flowers, cards, photos and more. One fan also tied a shirt with a heartfelt message written on it. It said:
"Rest in peace Ozzy (The prince of darkness). Final stop on the Crazy Train? But metal lives forever. Thanks for everything Ozzy."
For the unversed, legendary singer, Ozzy Osbourne left for the heavenly abode on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76. He was the lead singer of the band, Black Sabbath, who has also helped create the blueprint for heavy metal music. The legendary singer was battling Parkinson’s disease for quite some years and in 2023, he retired from touring due to his health.
Ozzy Osbourne was more than just a singer, he was often known as the 'Prince of Darkness'. He was known by different generations because of his unique voice, unmatched energy and stage aura. After his passing, his debut solo, Crazy Train, saw an increase in its popularity. The Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Zafar Iqbal, said:

In early 2023, Ozzy Osbourne announced his retirement from touring because of his health conditions. He had plans to continue the farewell tour, No More Tours II, across Europe and the UK, but because of his declining health, he had to cancel it in Europe and the UK. The singer had Parkinson’s disease, which meant that he started facing difficulties in mobility. He revealed that different surgeries had dramatically worsened his mobility. Even though, his voice remained strong, his body did not have the energy to handle a tour. In his last show, a crowd of more than 40,000 people had come to see him and the overwhelmed singer, said:
"You have no idea how I feel, Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
