The impact of the car caused it, an allegedly electric vehicle, to catch fire immediately.

Eugene Mirman was caught inside his blazing car's locked door, but he fortunately had a good rapid escape. A state trooper, who was a part of New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte's security, rushed to pull the actor from a window engulfed in flames. Witnesses and cops later said:
"The driver was then pulled from the burning car through a window and brought to safety."
