Esha Deol, one of the most talented actresses, has been tagged as the 'OG National Crush' for her beauty and grace back in her time. The actress made her debut with the movie, Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe in 2002. Moreover, it was her masterclass performance in Dhoom that made the actress stand out in the crowd while sending everyone into a frenzy. In her personal life, Esha faced a tough time off lately as she decided to part ways with Bharat Takhtani. Well, in a recent interview, on the occasion of her movie, Dhoom, completing two decades, the actress talked about getting a lot of proposals during her time.
In a recent interview with FilmiBeat, Esha Deol was asked about her movie, Dhoom completing 20 years. The actress mentioned that she is feeling grateful for the same, but there's a little sorrow that the director of the movie isn't with them. Sharing that the director, Sanjay Gadhvi would have been ecstatic about Dhoom completing two decades, Esha said:
"It feels great that Dhoom is celebrating 20 years today. But, I feel a little sad also because Sanjay Gadhvi, the director of the film, he is not with us. So, I really miss him today especially when Dhoom completes 20 years; he would have been ecstatic."
Going further in the interview, Esha Deol talked about her crazy fan experience during that time, when she became the OG National crush for her oh-so-gorgeous performance. The actress shared that a whole lot of guys had a huge crush on her and she had received a lot of proposals too. The actress shared that she was young and enjoyed the attention and admiration she got. Sharing more about her fans, Esha remarked how even today, people comment by saying that she is their first crush, and she instantly can understand that it's because of Dhoom. Esha added:
"After Dhoom, there was an entire frenzy where a lot of guys had a crush on me, a lot of people proposed. It was very sweet and cute, and I am a young girl, so I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the attention I got. It was nice, it was fun. Even now on my social media, so many of them comment, 'My first crush', and I know they are relating to Dhoom."
In the same conversation, Esha Deol was asked about people announcing several actresses as the national crush, and how it felt like to be the original national crush back in her time. To this, the Dhoom girl shared that audiences have the right to admire their favourite actress, and if someone is getting it, then they are actually doing the right things. Esha shared:
"No, no. I think actresses in general, whoever it is, audience has a right to have a crush on you, like you and love you. And if you are getting that then you are doing something right."
Esha Deol got married to Bharat Takhtani back in 2012, and they became parents to their two daughters, Radhya and Miraya. Well, after almost 12 years of their marital bliss, Esha and Bharat announced their separation through a media statement. As per their statement, they had decided to part ways amicably. Esha and Bharat, in their statement, revealed that it was a mutual decision to go different ways while co-parenting their two kids. While the reason for the ex-couple's separation is not yet known, as per an ongoing buzz, the split was caused by infidelity on Bharat's side.
