Daughter of veteran actors, Dharmendra and Hema Malini, Esha Deol had followed the footsteps of her parents and had joined the film industry. Apart from her acting prowess, Esha was also interested in football and biking. She was the captain of her school's football team and had represented her college in handball at the state level. However, after tying the knot with the love of her life, Bharat Takhtani, Esha's life has got changed. Today, Esha is a caring wife and a hands-on mommy to her two daughters, Radhya Takhtani and Miraya Takhtani, and she makes sure to fulfil her professional commitments too.
After a few years of courtship, Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani had tied the knot on June 29, 2012, in a low-key ceremony at the ISKCON temple in Mumbai. For the wedding, Esha had become the prettiest Tamilian bride in red as she had opted for a bright Kanjeevaram saree. She had accentuated her look with a matching dupatta on her head, heavy gold jewellery and a kamarbandh. Bharat had complemented his bride in a white sherwani with sequinned work on it, which he had carried with a maroon safa.

A few moments back, Esha Deol took to her IG handle and shared an adorable picture of herself from her D-Day. In the photo, we can see the actress in her bridal avatar, sitting at the wedding mandap. The then-bride had covered her mouth with both her hands, and it looked like she was in utter shock. Sharing the picture, Esha penned a hilarious note and wrote:
"OMG ! I’m a “Bahu” now. P.s that expression - when u go from biker chick to bahu ! #throwbackthursday #throwback to me being #justmarried #indianbahu."
Esha Deol and her husband, Bharat Takhtani, are currently living the best days of their life, and are in the happiest place. The adorable couple had completed nine years of their wedding on June 29, 2021. To mark the special day, Esha Deol Takhtani had posted a black-and-white picture with the love of her life, Bharat Takhtani. To caption the loved-up and smiling picture, Esha had written:
"For keeps for eternity… I do… love you #happyweddinganniversary #thankyouforthewishes #thankyoufortheblessings #eshabharat #anniversary #foreverlove #youandme #love #iloveyou #gratitude #blessings #eternity @bharattakhtani3."

Esha Deol hails from a film family, and Bharat Takhtani is from a conservative business family. In the Sindhi joint family of the Takhtanis, Esha was the first bahu in their seven cousins, just like her mother's character in Satte Pe Satta. But she had fit in the family so well that Bharat could not stop praising her. Back in 2013, in an interview with the Filmfare, Bharat had remarked:
"It seems impossible that someone from a film family and I who am from a conservative business family would ever come together. She's the first bahu in our joint family of seven cousins. She takes care of my mother, her moods, she's gelled so well. Actually, Esha's always been gharelu though she liked to believe she was the boy of the house. She's caring and responsible. She's aware of what keeps me happy. I'm a foodie, I live to eat. And she sees to it that my favourite dishes are prepared at home. In fact, for someone who didn't know how to make chai, just the other day, she cooked Khow Suey."
It was five years after tying the knot, in October 2017, when Esha Deol Takhtani and Bharat Takhtani had embraced parenthood with the arrival of their firstborn, Radhya Takhtani. One-and-a-half years later, Radhya had become a big sister when Esha and Bharat had welcomed their second child, Miraya Takhtani. The doting parents had taken their own sweet time to introduce their daughters to the world, and even after that, they prefer keeping the little ones away from the limelight.
For the unversed, Esha is not only perfectly managing her professional commitments and family life but has also ventured into writing and had published her debut book, Amma Mia as an author.
