There is nothing as unpredictable as death. Sometimes, it gives you signals, but more often, it comes as an uninvited guess and snatches away your likelihood. Epigamia co-founder Rohan Mirchandani recently became the victim of death's unpredictability. For the unversed, Epigamia is a popular Greek yogurt brand in India. Its parent company is Drums Food International, in which many celebrities have invested.

The company was established in 2013, and according to a report by Business Today, the parent company of Greek yoghurt brand, Epigamia, Drums Food International, issued an official statement on December 22, 2024, confirming the news of the death of its co-founder, Rohan at the mere age of 42. It is worth mentioning that Rohan Mirchandani and his two colleagues founded Drums Food in 2013, and it quickly emerged as an FMCG company, which grew further over the years.

Rohan Mirchandani passed away at the age of 42 due to a heart attack. He was a graduate of NSU Stern and the Wharton School. Rohan, along with his classmates, Ankur Goel (currently the COO) and Uday Thakkar (currently the Director), co-founded Drums Food. Sharing the unfortunate news of his death, Drum Food International's official statement read as:

“It is with deep sorrow that Drums Food International confirms the untimely passing of its beloved founder, Rohan Mirchandani, who suffered a sudden cardiac arrest yesterday."

Rohan and his partners initially launched the ice cream brand, Hokey Pokey. In 2015, they introduced the Greek yogurt brand, Epigamia, which quickly gained popularity. In addition to yoghurt, Epigamia also produces various other dairy products.

Rohan Mirchandani's net worth

Epigamia is a popular snack brand with a net worth of around USD 160 million. Rohan owned around 4.68 per cent of all the holdings. The company has suffered since the 2020 pandemic, but Rohan was hopeful for its revival. Rohan's share in the company had dropped to nearly 4.7 percent from its earlier level of 4.8 per cent pre-funding round as of the last funding round in December 2023.
