Recently, the popular Bollywood actor, Emraan Hashmi reacted to the same reports.

Emraan Hashmi smirks when hosts say Rajkummar Rao underwent surgery

During a conversation with ScoopWhoop, Emraan was asked about his thoughts on actors opting for plastic surgery to enhance their facial features despite looking their best. The actor then asked the hosts to name some of the celebrities who underwent the knife, they immediately named Rajkummar Rao. The actor smirked and said, "Yeah."

Emraan Hashmi says cosmetic surgery has become a common practice

While all of them burst into laughter, one of the hosts asked him where this 'insecurity' was coming from. Emraan answered the question by saying that cosmetic surgery has become a thing not just in the (film) industry but among ordinary people as well. Sharing that people now want to look like the poster boy or girl, Emraan said:

"It is a reality. I mean, the cosmetic business. Not just in the industry but it’s a thing that they marketed pretty well. Everyone wants to look like that poster boy or girl and there’s become this identity of what beauty is, right? And you want to mould yourself to that because that’s what gets the love and you feel good about yourself. Coming to cosmetic surgery, I haven’t gotten any, if you’re thinking."

When Rajkummar Rao refuted rumours of his plastic surgery

In April 2024, reports surfaced in the media stating that Rajkummar Rao underwent surgery to enhance his jawline. This came after the actor was captured by the paparazzi during Diljit Dosanjh's concert, and he looked completely different from his usual self, which left many wondering what suddenly happened to their favourite actor.

After days of speculations, Rajkummar Rao finally cleared the air around the same and mentioned that the photos circulating on social media were 'fake'. He emphasised that he had never undergone any kind of jaw reconstruction or enhancement surgery. While speaking with India Today, the actor said:

"If you have seen that picture, it doesn’t even look like me. It was really funny because it’s not even me. I guess someone played a prank. I strongly believe that it was a touched-up image. People were using big words like plastic surgery, but I have never gone under the knife."
