Elvish Yadav's name has become synonymous with controversies since he rose to fame. The YouTuber gained the spotlight when he emerged as the Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner. He was recently in the news for supporting Rajal Dalal in Bigg Boss 18. When Rajat emerged as the second-runner on the reality TV show, they claimed that Rajat was a more deserving winner, leading to a big debate. Once again, the former Bigg Boss contestants are in the news for a new reason.
Rajal Dalal recently graced Elvish Yadav's podcast channel, The Little Adda Company. In a viral clip from their conversation, Elvish and Rajat made some insensitive comments against another Bigg Boss 18 contestant, Chum Darang. In a now-deleted part, the two discussed Rajat's fellow contestants in the show and when it came to Chum, Elvish explained that he couldn't understand the reason behind Karan Veer Mehra's fondness towards her. He jokingly said that Karan might have COVID-19 as he fell for Chum.
At the same time, he passed a derogatory comment against Chum Darang's name. He particularly stressed the word and claimed that her name sounded vulgar, which didn't go well with the fans. Although the part was later deleted from his channel, it went viral, and netizens expressed anger about it.

When the clip of Elvish and Rajat Dalal's comments caused an uproar, many social media channels and north-eastern content creators tagged authorities to take action against it, slamming the duo. One user wrote, 'You guys are the most disgusting people. How can you pass comments like this? What message are you trying to give here?" Chum Darang has maintained silence on the matter and is yet to give her reaction. She is currently spending time with her family in Arunachal Pradesh and sharing pictures and videos from her trip. At the same time, she was felicitated in her hometown and praised for her achievements on the show. Previously, on the show, Chum opened up about how people from the Northeast face racism, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic when they faced unfair discrimination in different parts of the country.
One of the biggest highlights of Bigg Boss 18 was the bond between Karan Veer Mehra and Chum. They shared a close friendship in the house, and Karan admitted that he had feelings for Chum. The latter maintained that they could only be friends, and she supported him for the win. Together, their bond made them a fan-favourite couple tag, and netizens began calling them ‘Chumveer’. After the show ended, Karan and Chum were spotted together at multiple events, which sparked more speculation about their relationship. However, none of them have given clarity about it.
