'Domenica Montero' Premiere: Where To Watch The First Episode Of Angelique Boyer's Telenovela?

Telenovela star Angelique Boyer is making her highly anticipated return with the premiere of Doménica Montero. The much-awaited TelevisaUnivision drama reunites the actress with producer Carlos Bardasano after their 2018 drama Amar a muerte (Love to Death). After months of waiting, the project has finally arrived, with the first episode airing in the United States on Monday evening, December 8, 2025.

Where to watch the premiere of Doménica Montero?

The pilot episode of Doménica Montero aired live in the U.S. on Univision at 9 p.m. ET and 8 p.m. CT. Viewers who prefer to stream the show digitally can tune in on ViX at the same time, and those who miss the live stream can catch the full episode the next day on the telenovela’s official website. The drama will also stream on ViX starting December 19, 2025. For Mexican viewers, it will premiere next year, on January 19, 2026.

The makers have announced that Doménica Montero will be a 50-episode show, with new episodes airing weekly, from Monday to Friday. For viewers outside the U.S., the telenovela will reportedly be available worldwide on the popular free streaming platform Plex. 

What Doménica Montero is about, and why it has gained so much hype

The telenovela is a Spanish-language adaptation of the classic 1978 Mexican telenovela of the same name, itself an adaptation of another Venezuelan soap opera, titled La dona, based on a story by famous Venezuelan author Inés Rodena. The plot follows the lead, ‘Doménica Montero’ (Angelique Boyer), a respected businesswoman and philanthropist whose seemingly perfect life comes crashing down after a humiliating heartbreak.

On her wedding day, Montero receives the biggest humiliation of her life when she is abandoned at the altar, and this is where the first episode begins. For someone as well-respected as her, who was considered one of the country’s most coveted brides, the moment marks a turning point in her life, as she becomes a subject of hushed gossip and public ridicule. 

Devastated, humiliated, and betrayed, Doménica flees to her parents’ old estate, hoping to find some kind of peace. Instead, she quickly discovers that the place she once considered a refuge holds new challenges she never saw coming. Still reeling from heartbreak, she crosses paths with 'Luis Fernando' (Marcus Ornellas), the owner of the neighboring estate, who carries wounds of his own. Their unexpected meeting marks the beginning of a tense, emotional connection neither of them is prepared for.

When Doménica and Luis first meet, they are tense, guarded, and deeply burdened by past wounds. Yet, an undeniable emotional connection begins to form when circumstances force their lives to intertwine. Thus begins a whirlwind tale of old resentments, land disputes, and a shared desire to rebuild what was broken.

The debut episode immediately establishes Doménica’s emotional breakdown after getting stood up at the altar on her wedding day. Overwhelmed by betrayal, she steps away from the chatter and isolates herself in her parents’ ranch, determined to regain control of her life by throwing herself into making the estate her very own sanctuary. 

The viewers are also introduced to ‘Luis Fernando’, the owner of Doménica’s neighbouring estate, whose presence already disrupts her carefully constructed emotional barrier. From their very first interaction, the viewers get the hint of a slow-burning, complicated bond marked by tension, resistance, and vulnerability, none of which they are prepared to face.
