Dolly Singh is one of the first names that comes to our mind, when we speak about some of the most talented social media influencers in our country. She has a magnanimous fan following of more than 1.6 million alone on Instagram. Apart from that, the talented artist keeps entertaining audiences with her comic sketches and mimic videos, that become viral all over the internet in no time. Moreover, she made her film debut in 2023 with Rhea Kapoor’s Thank You For Coming.
In a recent post on her IG handle, Dolly Singh opened up about her insecurities, when it comes to her body. The diva mentioned that she has recorded a love-hate kind of relationship with her body, and she also has her moments of not accepting her body as it is. She expressed:

“Like everybody else, I’ve had a journey with my body of accepting it, not accepting it, Hating it and loving it and all of that. I think why or what prompted me to post about that right now was just something on my mind.”

Moving forth in the revelation, Dolly Singh then spilled beans on her metabolism and mentioned that she loses and gains weight, both very quickly. She talked about the current change of her body and revealed that she lost a few kilos lately, and it leads her to become a target of too much criticism over her body. In her words:
“I recently lost a bunch of weight, which in my case is very normal because I tend to lose weight more than gain, and of course that also invites a lot of scrutiny with the fluctuating weight.”
Speaking along the same lines, Dolly then mentioned how she has stopped meeting many people and avoided them, due to her insecurity about how she looks. The actress mentioned that she had been apprehensive about how people would look upon her changed weight, and felt that she would run the risk of unnecessary criticism and opinions. Dolly added:
“I just happened to think about how I was avoiding a few of people just because I felt that this new weight or my new look will not invite great things from them or they will not be welcoming it maybe, wonder how safe space in the scenario is so important, it’s only a few people in your life that really let you be and enjoy and don’t make everything about how you look and your weight and everything else so I felt sad”.

Previously, during a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Dolly Singh reminisced her growing up years and shared how she became a victim of severe body shaming back then, as a teenager. She spoke about unfiltered and opinionated relatives, who used to pass comments about the way she looked. Dolly concluded that those repressive opinions made her feel ugly about herself for the longest time.
