Alia Bhatt's 2024 movie, Jigra became the talk of the town, but for all the negative reasons. Divya Khosla called it a copy of her film, Savi. Well, it was Mukesh Bhatt who came to defend Alia in the controversy and called her 'even more talented'. Amid this, Divya was left with no option but to release an explosive call-recording between her and Mukesh Bhatt. She shared how the statements, which she felt were 'harsh' on her birthday, and it first led her to confront Mukesh Bhatt and then to release the recording on social media.
Taking to her IG handle, Divya Khosla dropped the call recording between her and Mukesh Bhatt, after his statements about the Savi-Jigra controversy hit the headlines two days back. She directly confronted Mukesh Bhatt and asked him if he had said anything against her as she talked about Alia Bhatt's movie, Jigra. To this, Mukesh Bhatt denied the fact that he had said anything about this to the media.

Mukesh Bhatt said that no one has asked him about this, and he too didn't say anything to anyone. He further claimed that he thinks this is the work of those who have vested interests. She further talked to Mukesh about these comments that hit her on her birthday. Mukesh Bhatt again said that he didn't say anything, and rather, he thinks this has been planned with the intent to hurt the actress on her birthday.

Mukesh Bhatt also said that he had no idea that it was her birthday, stating that he would never behave this way. Divya also revealed how much respect and love she holds for him, and he asked her not to focus on such things, which, according to him, has been done by 'the other camp'. He said:
"Beta, this is all planned. The fact that this happened on your birthday means somebody wants to hurt you and has intentionally planned this. First of all, I didn’t know it was your birthday. Aur main aise harkat nahi karta; by now you know me, beta."

Sharing the recording, Divya Kholsa penned that she was shocked by what just happened, which even left her heartbroken. She said that she had to reveal the truth for the sake of artists who suffered a lot in the industry. She talked about certain groups who try to sabotage people's careers, while adding that she will now fight the 'industry mafia' and raise her voice against this. A portion of her comment can be read as:

"Unfortunately, I am left with no choice but to put out the telephonic conversation between Mr. Mukesh Bhatt and me so people can hear for themselves how certain groups attempt to sabotage careers and push genuine talent out. This behaviour is unacceptable and cannot be normalised. It is time we speak up. It is time we call out the industry mafia. I will raise my voice — and I will fight this out."
If the reports are to be believed, Mukesh Bhatt, in an interview with Lehren Retro, said that Divya Koshla created the controversy just because she wanted a publicity stunt. Mukesh Bhatt said that Alia is a big star and she doesn't need to stoop to such a level; rather, the other star intentionally dragged a big name for a publicity stunt. He called Alia intelligent, sorted, and grounded and mentioned that Divya did not need to do 'chichori harkat'.
