Bigg Boss OTT winner, Divya Agarwal has always been open about her personal life. Be it her first relationship, breakup, love life or engagement with her fiance, Apurva Padgaonkar, she has always been in the limelight. And ever since Divya had announced her engagement, she has been getting trolled on social media. So finally, the actress slammed the trollers who called her a 'gold digger' and opened up about the same.
In an interview with Bombay Times, Divya Agarwal opened up about getting trolled for her relationship with her fiance, Apurva Padgaonkar. Divya also mentioned that she is an independent woman and would not have to work hard if she was a gold digger. Reacting to the trolls, Divya said:
"I have won reality shows and have been a part of three web shows… I am an independent girl. Also, can't a woman want a partner who is also settled in his career? Is that being a gold digger? If I was a gold digger, I would not have worked hard and built a career, I would have found a rich guy and settled down."

Further, in the same conversation, Divya addressed Varun's statements about infidelity in their relationship. She said that he should not have responded to all the questions pertaining to their breakup. Speaking about the same, she added:
"I don't understand why a person has to respond to any personal questions when he is promoting his upcoming show. Varun could have avoided the question. It has been a year since our breakup, but people continue to ask questions and one should know how to avoid them and show dignity because I am engaged now."
A few days back, Varun's sister, Akshita Sood, accused the actress on Twitter of not returning their family jewellery. Akshita’s accusations lead to an ugly spat between the two. The actress said that during her three-year courtship with Varun Sood, there were lots of gifts and cards exchanged and it was not possible to keep a count of all that. Responding to the allegations, Divya Agarwal replied:
"They have been asking my manager about the gifts since many days. During our three-year courtship, there were many gifts and cards exchanged, one does not keep a count of all that. Now, even after I returned the jewellery, the phone calls to my manager haven't stopped! I am tired of arguing over Twitter. From losing a parent to a bitter breakup, this has been the toughest phase of my life. There was a reason I decided to break up. Why are people asking about things like infidelity now?"

Many tweets of Akshita were deleted later; however, as per one of the tweets, Akshita texted Divya's manager, asking her to return their family jewellery. Divya took to her Twitter handle and posted a picture of the jewellery that was given to her by Varun Sood's family and captioned it as:
"Giving back the jewellery."
