Dipika Kakar Shares Health Update, Faces Hair Loss Amid Stage Two Liver Cancer, 'I Get Shocked'

Dipika Kakar is one of the most gorgeous actresses in the Hindi TV industry. She rose to fame with the Hindi TV soap opera, Sasural Simar Ka, where she played the lead role of 'Simar'. Coming to her personal front, she is married to TV actor, Shoaib Ibrahim. The couple welcomed their first child, a son, Ruhaan, on June 21, 2023. However, everything paused for them, when Dipika was diagnosed with a tennis ball-sized liver tumour in May 2025. Recently, she revealed the side effects of her medication, amid stage two liver cancer treatment.

Dipika Kakar faces extreme hair loss amid her stage two liver cancer treatment

Dipika, who is currently battling stage two liver cancer and going through its treatments, has kept her fans updated about her health and her recovery journey. Both Dipika and Shoaib share their life updates through YouTube vlogs. Taking to her YouTube channel, Dipika shared about the side effects she has been facing from her treatment. She revealed that her husband, Shoaib, has also fallen ill and wishes for his recovery. She mentioned that while the blood report has come back normal, she has been facing extreme hair loss. In her words:

"In Shoaib's vlog, I mentioned that the blood report has come back normal. However, what’s affecting me at the moment is the hair loss I’ve been facing as a side effect. Every time I see my hair fall in huge numbers after a wash, I get shocked."

Dipika Kakar talked about her daily struggles amid her treatment

A few days ago, Shoaib took to his YouTube channel and shared that Dipika's latest blood reports have come back normal. Hearing this, Dipika became emotional, while Shoaib tried to console her. The duo extended their gratitude who their fans. In the same vlog, Dipika talked about her daily life struggles. She shared that the diagnosis and the medication make her feel heavy inside. The heavy dose of medicine often takes a toll on her health. She was quoted as saying:

"There are days when I don’t feel well, as I’m taking tablets that are very heavy. It feels heavy from within, and because of the medicines and the diagnosis, there’s something to deal with every day."

When Dipika Kakar got affected with viral fever amid her stage two liver treatment

Earlier this month, Dipika, through a vlog, informed her fans that she had been affected by viral fever. The Sasural Simar Ka fame shared that she caught the infection from her son, Ruhaan, and her condition became worse as she has been going through the treatments. She mentioned that the heavy dosage of antibiotics and anti-allergy medicines has been affecting her health badly. In her words:

"My condition has been quite bad. I caught the viral infection that Ruhaan had, and in my case, it has gotten severe because I am undergoing treatment, because of which my immunity is low. I have been prescribed a very heavy dosage of antibiotics and anti-allergy medicines, which is taking a toll on me. I hope I feel better soon. Yesterday, I had lots of weakness."
