More than 30 years ago, when Doordarshan had aired Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan, it was indeed a mythological treat for every Indian household. The series had not just earned its place in the Limca Book of Records as the world's most-watched mythological series, but each and every character of it had earned a special place in everyone's heart. And one of them was Dipika Chikhlia, wo played the role of 'Sita'.
Although Dipika continued to act in Hindi and several other regional films, she is still popular for her stint as 'Sita'. On the personal front, the actress is married to Hemant Topiwala, owner of Shingar Bindi and Tips and Toes cosmetics. The couple is blessed with two daughters, Nidhi Topiwala and Juhi Topiwala.

Dipika is quite active on social media and often posts glimpses of her personal life. On May 22, 2022, Dipika took to her IG handle and posted pictures from a get together with her friends. In the photos, she was seen dressed in a white shirt, loosely tucked from one side, a denim skirt, white sneakers and a tie. She posed for pictures carrying a wine glass and captioned the photos as:
"Off to school on a Sunday."
As soon as she posted the pictures, Dipika fell prey to brutal trolling as her fans and a section of social media users showed their displeasure over her pictures. While a netizen commented, "Ye Apka Khon Sa Avtar Hai...? Sorry, Dekh Kar Bilkul bhi Acha Nahi Laga", another wrote, "Aapko aise kpde nhi pehnne chaiye dipikaji hamne aapko devi ka drja diya hua h so." Soon, the actress deleted her pictures.

In a throwback interview with Yogesh Mishra, Dipika Chikhlia Topiwala had recalled an incident that had taken place when her stardom was at the peak. Dipika had stated:
“I was very young that time during Ramayan TV serial. People used to touch my feet. I will not mention the name. I had gone to Delhi to do a show for a renowned person. His grandparents did sashtang pranaam. That time I was having lunch. Immediately I kept my plate there and got up. I was embraced."
In the same interview, Dipika had also revealed how she had felt guilty and ashamed when people elder than her parents would touch her feet. Revealing how people had reacted when she had told them that she is not Sita, Dipika had shared:
"Finally, I dared to say that I am not Sita. I am an actor. She said 'yes I know you are not Sita. You are an actor. We see you in TV. But you tell me, there are lot of girls in India but why you only got this role'. I was shocked to listen her logic. I could not say anything after that, but that conversation left a big impact on my life. That time I realised that I need to respect this role and the image because people don’t look at me as a Dipika, they look at me as a Sita and I have responsibility towards those fans of mine.”
On the professional front, Dipika was last seen in the Hindi film, Bala in 2019.
