Dilip Kumar was one of the most celebrated thespian stalwarts in the Hindi film industry, and was the son of a wealthy fruit merchant. The actor was born in Peshawar, and was well raised in a family of twelve other siblings. He made his first film debut in 1944 with Jwar Bhata, however, his performance was left unnoticed. However, he made his first hit with the films, Shaheed and Mela, and since then, he never looked back on his professional career. Speaking about his personal life, Dilip Kumar had always been a family-oriented person, and was extremely close to his family, including his siblings and wife, Saira Banu.
As per a new report in ETimes, Dilip Kumar’s darling sister, Saeeda Khan passed away on September 24, 2023. She was reportedly suffering from prolonged illness, and thereafter, bid adieu to the world. Known as a kind and compassionate personality, she was married to Iqbal Khan, son of filmmaker, Mehmoob Khan. After her husband’s demise in 2018, Saeeda is survived by her son, Saqib and son, Ilham. A condolence meeting for Saeeda will be held at the Mehboob Studio in Mumbai on September 26, 2023.

Back in November 2022, Dilip Kumar’s other sister, Farida was admitted to the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai, and received treatment for her illness for over a week. However, she was closely attended and taken care of by Dilip Kumar’s lovely wife, Saira Banu and Fareida’s other nephews, Imran and Saqib.

Well, the world knows about the fairy-talelike love story of Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar. Despite their massive age gap, they had an evergreen union, which lasted till the last breath of the latter. However, there was a time when Dilip Kumar was apprehensive about marrying Saira Banu.
