Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been one of the longest-running sitcoms, and it has been 16 years that it has been entertaining the viewers. The jaw-dropping performance of the cast and the plot line has left everyone glued to their seats. Over the years, TMKOC has grabbed a whole lot of attention but for all the negative reasons. Several of the actors have left the show and even accused the work environment of being toxic. Amid all this, a recent report revealed that Dilip Joshi, aka 'Jethalal Champaklal Gada' in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, locked horns with Asit Kumarr Modi over leave requests.
As per a recent report by News18, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame, Dilip Joshi and the show maker, Asit Kumarr Modi had a massive fight. Sources have shared that Dilip wanted to talk to Asit for a few days regarding leave approvals, which the latter was avoiding. One day, Dilip couldn't hold it anymore as he felt offended by being ignored by Asit when it came to the leave approvals. The source can be quoted as saying:
"It was the last day of Kush Shah’s shoot. Dilip ji was waiting for Asit bhai to come and talk to him about his leaves. But when Asit bhai came, he directly went to meet Kush. This disappointed Dilip ji."
As per the source, the fight escalated, and Dilip Joshi even held Asit Modi by his collar and threatened him that he would leave the show. Asit later reportedly calmed Dilip down. The sources had no idea about how the two sort out their differences. As per the source:
"Dilip ji got very angry and the two got into a heated argument. Dilip ji even held Asit Modi’s collar and threatened to leave the show. However, Asit bhai calmed him down. We don’t know how to two sort their differences."
This is not the first time that Dilip Joshi and Asit Kumarr Modi had a fight. As per the same report, sources have revealed that the two often get into fights. According to the sources, during the Hong Kong trip shoot of the show, a massive fight erupted between Dilip Joshi and Asit Kumarr Modi, and it was Gurucharan Singh Sodhi, who helped them to sort their differences out.
Dilip Joshi is a famous actor in the entertainment world. The actor started his career at the age of 12, and for over 25 years, he did theatres. Before becoming a household name for his stint in TMKOC, Dilip Joshi played some roles in movies like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Khiladi 420, Firaaq, Humraaz and One 2 Ka 4, among so many others.

Well, it was just before he bagged the chance to essay the role of 'Jethalal' in TMKOC that he considered leaving the acting world, being unable to find suitable jobs. Well, he was offered the role in 2008, and the rest is history. Talking about his salary, it's reportedly around Rs. 1.5 lakh per episode. So, if he shoots for 22 days a month, his per-month salary would roughly be Rs. 33 lakhs. Well, very few people know that Dilip was not the first choice for the role of 'Jethalal', and before him, Rajpal Yadav, Ali Asgar, Yogesh Tripathi, and Ahsaan Qureshi were offered this role, but none of them agreed to rope in.
