The makers, Matt and Ross Duffer, along with director, Martina Radwan, have again brought the magic of the American sci-fi series through a new documentary. Titled One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things 5, the documentary is set to premiere on January 12, 2026, on Netflix. Speaking about the experience working with the Duffer Brothers, Martina Radwan shared with Tudum that she is grateful to them for trusting her. Recalling her journey recording the BTS moments of Stranger Things Season 5 making, Martina said:

"I’m endlessly grateful to the Duffer Brothers for trusting me with a front-row seat to this incredible journey. Spending a full year on set with them was a true privilege — and an absolute thrill. Being able to get close and watch them bring this beloved show to life in real time was pure joy. I only wish I could travel back in time and document Seasons 1-4."

In the same interview, Martina shared how the cast and crew welcomed her on set. She highlighted how the cast and crew openly shared about their personal and collective experiences as they worked on a decade-long series. She added that the Duffer brothers inspired everyone, including her and their process and show represented everything that she loved about filmmaking. She was quoted as saying:

"From the cast to their long-time collaborators, everyone welcomed me with remarkable generosity, openly sharing their personal and collective experiences from a decade of creative filmmaking. The Duffers always push boundaries and inspire everyone to be better, including myself. Their process and the show represent everything I love about filmmaking."

The upcoming documentary, One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things 5, will focus on the cast and crew attached to the sci-fi series. It will feature the concluding work of the Duffer Brothers as they pulled down the curtains of the decade-long series. It will highlight both the creative process and emotional ending of Season 5. Recently, Netflix India released a trailer for the upcoming documentary. In the two-minute six-second video, the whole cast of Stranger Things Season 5 and the Duffer Brothers were featured, and they were having emotional moments as they read the script related to the series for one last time.

The Duffer brothers reveal how they developed the idea for the documentary

In an interview with Tudum, the creators of Stranger Things revealed that they took inspiration from The Lord of the Rings. They recalled their journey in Hollywood. They also explained how the upcoming documentary will play an important role for people to know how a major Hollywood production works. They were quoted as saying:

"Growing up in Durham, North Carolina, we dreamed of becoming filmmakers — but Hollywood felt impossibly far away. Everything changed when we watched the behind-the-scenes documentaries for The Lord of the Rings. With the decline of physical media, that kind of behind-the-scenes storytelling has largely disappeared. We wanted to bring it back. One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things Season 5 — beautifully captured and directed by Martina Radwan — is our attempt to do just that.
