Gauahar Khan is one of the most successful actresses on television. She has been a part of the reality show, Bigg Boss season 7 and has acted in some of the most acclaimed films. However, it appears that her husband, Zaid Darbar’s father, the renowned music composer Ismail Darbar, is not in favour of her career, as he recently made an unflattering comment about Gauahar’s work. He praised Gauahar for being an excellent mother but not being supportive of her career.

Gauahar Khan pens a cryptic note after Ismail Darbar’s comments on her career

After her father-in-law, Ismail Darbar, made comments about her career, Gauahar took to her Instagram story to share a note on motherhood. The actress, through her note, took a subtle dig at Ismail and also proved how she doesn’t care about the unwanted noises. Her note can be read as:

“Raising a boy is a beautiful kind of chaos. He runs instead of walks, climbs instead of sits, and shouts instead of whispers- yet he still pauses to kiss your cheek, grab your hand and call you beautiful with peanut butter on his face. Amid all the noise and mess, his softness makes you feel like you’re his whole world.”

Ismail Darbar comments on not being in favour of Gauahar Khan’s career

Ismail Darbar recently sat for an interview with Vickey Lalwani, during which he spoke about his daughter-in-law, Gauahar Khan. Heaped praises on Gauahar for her wonderful relationship with Zaid and for being a hands-on mother to their children. However, he also claimed not to be in favour of her profession.

He also stated that he cannot ask his bahu to stop working as he has no right to do so. But her husband, Zaid, can stop her. The ace music composer also stated that since she is a part of their family, her reputation is their responsibility. Revealing why he doesn’t watch Gauahar’s work, Ismail said:

“I’m not one to mince my words. I know that I will not be able to tolerate what I see, and if I am not able to tolerate what I see, I will confront them."

Ismail Darbar compared Gauahar Khan with his wife, Ayesha

In the same interaction, Ismail Darbar compared his wife, Ayesha’s, career trajectory with Gauahar's and said that she was earning Rs. 5 lakh per month, which she turned down for the sake of their children. In his words:

“All I know is that she has a wonderful relationship with Zaid, and that she is a wonderful mother. There is no harm in being honest about this. However, the greatest thing my wife Ayesha did was stop working for her child’s sake. She was making Rs 5 lakh a month through shows at the time, and was also getting acting offers. But she never turned around and said that she wants to sing or perform. Even when I was in need of money, she didn’t offer to earn for us."
