Did D4vd Write A Song On 'Celeste'? His Old Song Shares Same Name As 15-Yr-Old Found Dead In His Car

The music world is still trying to cope after a chilling twist involving rising singer, D4vd took place. It all began when his abandoned Tesla car was found with the remains of a 15-year-old. After the investigation, police confirmed her identity as Celeste Rivas, a California teenager who went missing in April 2024. Now, a leaked song by D4vd titled 'Celeste' has surfaced. It has left many questioning whether the track is linked to the victim. Here's everything to know about it.

D4vd's old leaked song has disturbing lyrics

The new update goes back to December 2023, when an unfinished demo called Celeste_Demo_unfin leaked online. The lyrics made headlines for their intensity, where D4vd sang "Oh, Celeste / The girl with my name tattooed on her chest / Smell her on my clothes like cigarettes // I hear her voice each time I take a breath / I'm obsessed." Another verse continues, "Afraid you'll only love me when undressed / But you look so damn gorgeous in that dress."

The timing between the song's leak and the victim's later disappearance is only a couple of months, raising troubling questions. Although it has not been confirmed that the Celeste mentioned in the song is the same girl found in his car, the overlap in names and the emotional tone of the lyrics have left fans and investigators stunned. It all complements an earlier statement made by Celeste's mom to TMZ, where she said that before her daughter went missing, she had been dating someone named David. Coincidently, D4vd's real name is David Anthony Burke, which has sparked more speculation. However, there is no confirmation on whether they knew each other and dated or not.

D4vd was spotted nearby Celeste Rivas's home earlier, coincidence or not? 

Adding more to the name and song chaos, investigators found that one Celeste Rivas had tattooed the word, "Shhh.." on their right index fingers. Although it is s common design tattooed by celebs like Rihanna, even D4vd has it. Moreover, TMZ found a photo showing the singer in Lake Elsinore, California, just 0.3 miles from where Celeste lived before disappearing. The photo was verified by Google Maps, which placed him within a six-minute walk of her home. Another unverified photo allegedly shows D4vd alongside a girl who resembles Celeste, but nothing has been confirmed about it.

Celeste Rivas's demise investigation has hampered D4vd's career

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner officially identified the body as Celeste Rivas's remains. Although the cause of death is still listed as "deferred." The LAPD is treating the case as a homicide. They even confirmed that the Tesla was registered to D4vd but was never reported stolen. However, it remains unclear who last drove the vehicle before it was abandoned in the Hollywood Hills. Amid all this, D4vd had to cancel his scheduled show in Seattle and is believed to have flown back to Los Angeles to cooperate with authorities. 

Although the case is still under investigation and no charges have been pressed against D4vd, it has impacted his career. At the same time, Celeste's mother awaits justice. It will be important to see what new updates emerge in the case.
