The investigation into 15-year-old Celeste Rivas' mysterious death is far from over. Los Angeles was left in shock after the teen's remains were found earlier this month in a Tesla registered under the singer's name. Although no charges have been filed against the 20-year-old rapper, allegations that he might have known her before her death have only deepened after new revelations coming up every day. Whether it is about her running away from a 'troubled home' or his friends meeting her, every new revelation is increasing the problems for the singer.

D4vd's alleged friends claim they thought Celeste Rivas was 19

According to TMZ, some alleged friends of D4vd who partied with him in LA told the portal that they often saw Celeste with him at gatherings. Many assumed she was his girlfriend, and one source claimed that they looked like they were a couple. Shockingly, most of them thought Celeste was around 19 years old. They explained that she presented herself as a college student and even claimed to be enrolled at USC. Those friends mentioned that they got the wrong idea about her age due to her appearance, confidence, and her regular social circles.

According to the same insiders, Celeste's access to parties also made her seem like an adult. She was often seen in venues with strict age restrictions, which made them believe that she was at least 18. The same news portal earlier reported that Celeste used multiple fake IDs to pass herself off as older. It made it possible for her to enter spaces where underage teens would not normally be allowed. One person told the outlet they were "stunned" to hear she was only 14 when she first entered the scene. Many of D4vd's peers were equally surprised by any suggestion that he had a role in her death. They describe him as "super shy, soft spoken and gentle."

Beyond the glitz of the LA parties, Celeste's personal life allegedly had a troubling environment. Some law enforcement sources told the portal that she came from a 'troubled home' and had previously run away from her home multiple times in 2024. Even her teachers and neighbours recalled the incidents when her family used to desperately look for her before she disappeared for once and for all. During one such incident, she was found in the Hollywood Hills. These repeated attempts to escape, combined with her use of fake IDs, suggest she was actively trying to distance herself from her home environment.

The legal circle around the case began on September 8, when some people reported getting a foul odour coming from an abandoned Tesla in Los Angeles. Later, when the police arrived, they found human remains inside the vehicle. After thorough forensic testing and a distinctive tattoo, it was confirmed that the victim was Celeste Rivas, who had turned 15 a day ago. According to NBC News, her body was not intact. This has raised more questions about what happened before her death. Since then, the LAPD has obtained a search warrant for a residence tied to D4vd. They even seized electronic devices, but continue to treat the matter as a death investigation rather than a homicide. Explaining why D4vD is not arrested, ABC News analyst Brian Buckmire explained on Good Morning America:

"Without a confirmed cause and manner of death, there is no legal ground for an arrest."
