We have seen, read and heard a lot about how amazing it is to be in love for the first time and experiencing the butterflies and jitters when you are with your partner. But sometimes, first love isn’t the last one and things don’t work out the way you had imagined it to be. And then when love knocks on your door once again, without fear of doubt you must welcome it with open arms. While your first love didn’t last forever because not all relationships are meant to be, the hope of having a soulmate to grow old with helps you to embrace love for the second time. The feeling of being safe and returning home to someone, who will be your refugee in the storms of life, will reinstate your faith in love. It was on February 15, 2021, when Dia Mirza had walked down the aisle under the phoolon ki chaadar and embarked on a ‘happily ever after’ journey with Vaibhav Rekhi. For the wedding, Dia had looked graceful as ever in a red Banarasi saree by Raw Mango with choker set, jhumki, maang teeka, green Maharashtrian bangles and gajra accentuating her look. Vaibhav had complemented her well in a white kurta-pyjama with a matching Nehru jacket. Dia and Vaibhav’s million-dollar smiles had spoken volumes of happiness they have felt on their wedding day. The highlight of Dia and Vaibhav’s wedding was his daughter, Samaira Rekhi (from his first marriage) leading the bride’s way towards the mandap and holding a “Papa’s Girls” placard.

Before the wedding, on February 14, 2021, the Rekhi family had hosted a bridal shower for Dia Mirza and welcomed her into their family. For the celebration, Dia had picked a beautiful full-sleeve white-hued gown with a veil and ‘bride’ tiara over her head, and a bride-to-be sash. But as always, it was Dia’s million-dollar charming smile that won our hearts. One of Dia’s friends had posted an unseen picture of the bride-to-be from her bridal shower and the actress had reposted the same on her IG handle. Dia had also posted a picture of her bridal mehendi, and flaunted her pyaar for Vaibhav with the lovely pre-wedding glimpse. Once in a throwback interview with the Filmfare, Dia Mirza had spoken about what she had learnt so far with her relationships. Dia had said, “That you can never know what’s going to happen. You feel and experience something and the next moment you’ll be wondering this wasn’t expected. Fact is, when you fall in love, you aren’t privy to many things about your spouse. There’s always a surprise coming your way. It’s more about how you accept them.” When asked if she would go for love over lust, Dia had retorted, “They’re both important. You need to lust after your partner because love can only take you that far. Lust is important too.”
When it comes to style, Dia Mirza has always opted for comfortable yet varied silhouettes and never came a time when she had not impressed us with her fashion sense. Dia has always proved to be a minimalist at heart and the example of the same we had seen on her wedding with Vaibhav Rekhi. Speaking about her fashion choices in an interview with Pinkvilla, when Dia was asked, “If there was one piece of clothing you had to live in all your life, which would it be?” she had retorted, “The one-piece of clothing I would be happy to live in all my life would be cotton kurta and salwar!” Describing her style, Dia had said, “I enjoy wearing feminine and earthy clothes. It could be bohemian, vintage, casual or chic.” Revealing the piece of clothing you believe nobody could go wrong with, Dia had replied, “Saree.” (Also Read: Shamita Shetty Reacts On 'Jiju', Raj Kundra's 'Swayamvar' Demand, Reveals If She Found Her Mr Right)
