Dharmendra is one of the most talented and versatile actors in the Hindi film industry. Even at the age of 87, the actor holds the power to mesmerise his fans with his amazing performance. Dharmendra has etched his name on the heart of millions by working in blockbuster films like Sholay, Apne, Dharam Veer, Seeta Aur Geeta, Loha, Ankhen, Yamla Pagla Deewana, Baghavat, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Dream Girl and many more. Recently, the actor had made a lot of headlines owing to his kissing scene with Shabana Azmi in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
In a recent interview with Times Now, Dharmendra opened up about his family and shared that they don't 'market' themselves. The veteran actor further added that his family doesn't believe in bragging about themselves, rather, they let their work speak for them. Dharmendra also talked about his son, Sunny Deol and stated that he never hoggers about his work despite being part of the two biggest blockbusters. In his words:

"Our family is not into marketing itself. We have always believed in letting our work speak for us. Sunny is in two of the biggest blockbusters of all times. You will never hear him talking about his achievements."

In the same conversation, Dharmendra mentioned that his younger son, Bobby Deol is also doing quite well for himself. However, despite giving quality work to the film industry, his family never got the due acknowledgement. The actor added that his family doesn't mind if the industry recognises their contribution or not, they blossom on the love of their fans. Dharmendra also stated that he didn't receive any awards for his film, Satyakam, which got released in the year 1969. Elaborating more on it, Dharmendra said:
"My younger son Bobby is also doing well for himself. But my family has never been given our due. We don't mind. The love of our fans is enough fuel to keep us going. We don't need the industry to acknowldge us."
Dharmendra further added that the year has been great to his family and God has been kind to them. Talking about the same, the veteran actor mentioned that they are blessed to be associated with Bimar Roy's family as his grandson, Karan got married to Drisha. He added that his son, Sunny's film, Gadar 2 is doing quite well at the box office, on the other hand, he has been receiving so much love for this film, RARKPK. Dharmendra concluded his talk by mentioning that he must have done something right in his life to receive so much happiness at his age.

Dharmendra made his acting debut in the film, Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere, in 1960. Later, he went on to work in some blockbuster films of that time and made a name for himself in the world of acting. Talking about his personal life, the veteran actor married twice. He got hitched to his wife, Prakash Kaur, in 1954. And the couple is blessed with four beautiful kids, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijeta Deol and Ajeeta Deol. Later, Dharmendra tied the knot with veteran actress and politician, Hema Malini in 1980. Together, they have two daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.
