Dharmendra's Prayer Meet Details, The Legendary Late Actor's Family Is All Set To Host Meeting Soon

One of the legendary actors, Dharmendra passed away on November 24, 2025. The actor had been suffering from health issues and was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital. However, the actor whose career spanned 65 years passed away, leaving a void in the hearts of his fans. His last rites were held on November 24, 2025, and his industry friends and family members attended the same.

Dharmendra's family is all set to host a prayer meet next week

Ameesha Patel, who paid a visit to the actor during his hospital stay, shared that the actor was in a very critical condition. The entire industry and Dharmendra's global fanbase shared heartfelt tributes to the actor. Amid this grief-stricken time, recently, information about his prayer meeting surfaced. A source recently revealed to PTI that the actor's prayer meet will take place next week.

For the unversed, earlier reports claimed that Dharmendra's family was thinking about hosting a double celebration for the actor, including his 90th birthday. Dharmendra passed away at 89, and he was all set to become 90 on December 8, 2025. Talking about the information on his prayer meet, the source revealed to PTI:

"A prayer meet will be held here but the location is yet to be finalised."

Dharmendra's silent goodbye with no state honours and a rushed funeral

With the death hoax of Dharmendra, the clamour was around, and the actor's family slammed the media for the same as well. However, when he returned to his home, the Deol family asked for privacy as the actor was not keeping well with his health. Hema Malini, in an interview with Times Now, said the actor's health was concerning and that his kids were sleepless at the same time.

The actress requested his fans to pray for his well-being. However, the actor passed away at the age of 89 on November 24, 2025. It was kept private until an ambulance was spotted outside his house. Later, his last rites were held, that too, silently. However, for someone like Dharmendra, the silent last rites were raising eyebrows. On the other hand, it's not clear whether any state honour was given to the actor or not. Dharmendra was a Member of Parliament from Bikaner between 2004 and 2009, and was also a Padma Awardee; thus, the fact that he was not given any state honours raised questions. Later, sources revealed that the actor's family wanted to bid farewell to him with a more private and low-key funeral.

Dharmendra , one of the greatest stars who ever lived, ruled in Bollywood for sixty-five years, and it all could have happened due to his passion and hard work. His fans will be able to see him one last time through the movie, Ikkis. Recently, the Ikkis director, Sriram, said that Dharmendra would often get tired while shooting his last film, but he loved the camera so much that whenever the team needed him, despite not being well, he would shoot for the scenes. The director said:

"It was a little strenuous, so he used to get tired and sometimes our schedules are sort of killing. I would tell him, 'Sir, there's one more shot in the scene' and he would say, 'Haan batao'. I knew he was tired, but he would say, 'Ok, ok, let's do it'. And, when the cameras would roll, he would be magic. He was unbelievable."
