Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra has been in the industry for more than six decades, beginning with his debut back in the 1960s. The actor is about to turn 90. However, over the last few days, Dharmendra's fans have been worried after he was admitted to a hospital. Later, reports revealed that the actor had been admitted to the hospital for a routine check-up.

Now, another report claimed that the actor had been on a ventilator at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. Amid this news, another piece of information made the rounds on social media, leaving people heartbroken, as they claimed the veteran actor was no more. While the reports are making people worried, let's have a fact check.

Dharmendra is not on a ventilator, and the buzz about his passing is completely untrue

According to a NewsX report, there have been reports that Dharmendra is no more. To mention, there is no truth to the buzz, and it's a mere rumour. On the other hand, reports claimed that the actor was on a ventilator in Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. This information is false as well. Dharmendra has been in the hospital for a week now, wherein he was admitted on October 31, 2025. However, he was never on a ventilator. The actor's team, as well as sources close to Sunny Deol, have dismissed the buzz.

According to the Indian Express, sources close to Sunny Deol said the ventilator news was fake. According to the source, the veteran actor has been in the hospital, and his son, Sunny, paid him a visit just this morning. Reportedly, Dharmendra is under observation and recuperating. Sharing that if something serious like Dharmendra being on a ventilator had happened, then his entire family would be there in the hospital, the source dismissed the clamour around. As per Sunny Deol's close source:

"The whole ventilator news is fake. Dharmendra has been hospitalised for a week but he is not on a ventilator. Sunny Deol visited Dharmendra in the morning at the hospital and he is back now. If something like this would have happened, his entire family would have been in the hospital."

On the other hand, several clips had gone viral on social media, claiming that Hema Malini has reached Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital, where Dharmendra has been reportedly admitted for over a week now. While sources claimed that the actor was not on a ventilator, Hema Malini's quick arrival in the hospital kept the buzz going.

It was in the last week when reports about Dharmendra's health left people worried to the core. It was reported at the time that the veteran actor was experiencing breathlessness. However, later, all the speculations were dismissed, and the actor's close source, even his wife, Hema Malini, confirmed that there was no truth to the speculations, that the actor was admitted to the hospital for a regular check-up, and that there was nothing to worry about.

For the earlier few months, people have been worried about Dharmendra's physical and mental health, and reports were rife that he was living alone in his farmhouse, which left people worried. However, later Bobby Deol dismissed the buzz and claimed that his father was indeed at his farmhouse, but he was not alone, and rather, he was with his first wife. As per Bobby, his parents were spending some alone time there in the farmhouse, as the space is relaxing and cosy to them. As per Bobby:

"My mum is also there. They’re both at the farm in Khandala right now. Papa and Mummy are together; he just gets a little dramatic. They love being at the farmhouse. They’re also old now, and being at the farmhouse is relaxing for them. The weather is nice, the food is nice. Papa has made a paradise out there."
