Dharmendra Passed Away At 89, Glimpses Of Grieving Wife, Hema Malini, Daughter, Esha Deol Surface

The He-Man of Bollywood, Dharmendra, had been in the industry for over six decades and had contributed to more than 300 films. It has been since last month when the Dharmendra's death hoax was around, and he was admitted to the hospital. The actor's family lashed out at the media for sharing fake death news about Dharmendra. He later recovered and was transferred to his home, where he received further treatment. However, on November 24, 2025, Dharmendra passed away. While his family is yet to confirm the heartbreaking news, they were seen taking part in the cremation ceremony of the legendary actor.

Not many details about Dharmendra's passing have been disclosed in the media yet, but Dharmendra was not keeping well for the last few weeks. He was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital when several actors paid a visit to him while he was receiving treatment. It was on November 12, 2025, when Dharmendra was discharged from the Brech Candy Hospital.

Following this, reports claimed that the actor was doing better and his family was even planning for a double celebration soon, including his 90th birthday on December 8, 2025. However, on November 24, 2025, Dharmendra passed away. Glimpses from his last rites and cremation surfaced on social media. Hema Malini was spotted in a car, as she was seen grieving, while Esha Deol was also spotted at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai, where she was seen breaking down in tears.

Hema Malini opened up about Dharmendra's health

Hema Malini turned furious when earlier false reports about Dharmendra's death grabbed the attention. She took to her social media and slammed the media for the same. Following Dharmendra's return home, Hema Malini sat for an interview with Times Now, wherein she revealed that her husband's health has been a big concern for them. She also revealed that their kids have been sleepless and thus, she couldn't be weak in this state, as she had a whole lot of responsibilities. She also revealed that their family was happy with the fact that Dharmendra returned home and would be surrounded by his family. She also stated that the actor was not well, while asking his fans to pray for him. She said:

“It has not been an easy time for me. Dharamji's health is a matter of great concern for us. His children are sleepless. I can't afford to be weak, too many responsibilities. But yes, I am happy he's back home. We are relieved he is out of hospital. He needs to be among the people he loves. Baaki toh sab upar wale ke haath mein hai. Please pray for us.”

Dharmendra, who belonged to a humble family, watched Dilip Kumar's movie, Shaheed, in his teens, which sparked something in him. Back then, while looking at himself in the mirror, he said, "Mai Dilip Kumar Banna Chahata Hu." His manifestation not only worked, but also ended up making him one of the greatest stars who ever lived, who ruled in Bollywood for sixty-five years, and it all could happen due to his passion and hard work. His fans will be able to see him one last time through the movie, Ikkis.
