'Ikkis' Actor, Dharmendra Admitted In Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital Ahead Of His 90th Birthday

Dharmendra is one of the most popular actors of Bollywood, who is known for iconic films like Sher Dil, Veeru Dada, Taaqat, Loha, Yamla Pagla Deewana and more. The veteran actor, who is approaching his 90th birthday, has been admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. Read on to know more details about the same. 

Dharmendra is admitted for a regular check up

Recently, a few media houses reported that the legendary actor, Dharmendra has been admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. This news spread like fire and left his fans worried. However, a report by NDTV and Aaj Tak have shared that the actor is in the hospital for a regular checkup and not for any emergency. Dharmendra's team confirmed the news about his regular checkup. 

Dharmendra went through an eye graft surgery

For those who don’t know, months ago, in April 2025, the Rocky Aur Ranii Ki Prem Kahani actor, Dharmendra had undergone an eye graft surgery. At that time a video had gone viral, which featured Dharmendra exiting the hospital with a bandage on one of his eyes. Before leaving, he spoke to the paparazzi and had shared:

"I am strong. Abhi bhi Dharmendra mein bahut dum hai. Abhi bhi jaan rakhta hoon. Meri aankh, eye graft (corneal transplantation) ho gayi hai. I am strong. Love you, my audience and my fans."

Dharmendra and his wife, Hema Malini do not live together

Veteran actors, Dharmendra and Hema Malini are one of Bollywood's most loved couples. They have been married for over four decades. Days ago, the couple made headlines when reports suggested that Dharmendra and Hema Malini are living separately. Reportedly, Dharmendra is living in his farmhouse with his first wife, Prakash Kaur, while Hema lives in her own bungalow with Esha and Ahana Doel. Regarding the same, actress, Hema Malini had once shared:

"Every woman wants to have a husband, children, like a normal family. But somewhere, it went out of the way… I am not feeling bad about it, or sulking about it. I am happy with myself. I have my two children, and I have brought them up very well."

Dharmendra was most recently seen in films like Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. In the Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh starrer film, the veteran actor was seen doing a kissing scene for the first time on screen.
