Dharmendra Health Update: Actor Discharged From The Hospital, Will Continue Treatment At Home

After giving the entire country a mini-heart attack, Dharmendra has finally been discharged from Breach Candy Hospital. The chaos around the actor's health has finally settled as things became clear after the doctors confirmed on November 12, 2025, that the actor was stable and had been discharged. The past few days had been extremely chaotic. However, it only proved how deeply the actor is loved by his fans and the industry.

Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital

It was on the morning of November 12, 2025, that the doctors at Breach Candy Hospital told Press Trust of India (PTI) that the actor was doing well and had been discharged. The medical team added that his family, including sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, decided to take the actor home. The actor has finally been sent home at around 7:30 am, after being in and out of the hospital for weeks. Dr. Pratit Samdani told PTI:

"Dharmendra ji was discharged from the hospital around 7.30 am. He will be treated at home, as the family has decided to give him treatment at home."

The update comes after several videos surfaced on social media showing an ambulance arriving at and leaving Dharmendra's residence. The news has come as a relief after the scare on November 11, 2025. Fans are now glad that the actor is recovering well.

Dharmendra's death rumours and health

On November 11, 2025, rumours began circulating online that Dharmendra had passed away at the age of 89 years old in the hospital. However, his family immediately bashed the reports. The Sholay star's wife, Hema Malini, and their daughter, Esha Deol, took to social media to dismiss the false reports, assuring fans that the actor was alive and responding well to treatment. They stated that he is stable. Dharmendra was admitted to the hospital in Mumbai earlier this week. The mother-daughter duo even slammed outlets for spreading false reports. 

On Tuesday, Dharmendra's family was by his side at the hospital all day. His children, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Esha Deol, nephew Abhay Deol, and wife, Hema Malini, were spotted leaving the hospital on the evening of November 11, 2025. The veteran actor is immensely loved, and this was evident when the industry came forward to visit him in the hospital. Aamir Khan and his girlfriend, Gauri Spratt, were spotted visiting Dharmendra at Breach Candy Hospital on Tuesday.

Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan also visited the 89-year-old veteran star at the hospital on the evening of November 10, 2025. Govinda was also spotted leaving the hospital after visiting Dharmendra. Sadly, Govinda himself is now admitted to the hospital after he lost consciousness in the early hours of November 12, 2025. The news that the actor is doing fine has relieved fans, as they were hoping to see the actor turn 90 on December 8, 2025.

Dharmendra was last seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (2024) alongside actors Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. The actor has been actively working even in his 80s, so much so that his performance in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani won hearts and left the audience teary-eyed. He is set to appear next in Sriram Raghavan-directed Ikkis, starring Agastya Nanda. The upcoming war drama is slated to release in December 2025.
