Netizens are worried about Dharmendra's latest update on social media

As soon as the post was uploaded, the concerned netizens started asking the veteran actor about his health. Dharmendra replied to one of the comments and revealed that he had fractured his ankle. Dharmendra once revealed why he chose to remove his surname and middle name when he debuted in Bollywood

When Dharmendra’s latest film, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, was released in the theatres, several media reports claimed that he changed his name after 64 years of his career in Bollywood. His name was written as Dharmendra Singh Deol in the end credits of the film. The actor, in an interview with Zoom, recalled why he had removed his middle name and surname.

Dharmendra said he had always been very proud of his surname and even used his surname ‘Deol’ with the names of his two sons, Sunny and Bobby. However, previously, heroes were mostly known by their first names. Hence, Dharmendra decided to omit his surname from his name as well. He said:

"I was always a proud Deol. The surname was always a part of our family. If you see, my sons Sunny and Bobby have always put out their full names. When I came into the film industry, actors avoided surnames: Dilip Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Rajendra Kumar, Sanjay Khan, Biswajeet, Sanjay (Sanjay Khan)…I also preferred to be known as just Dharmendra. It is never too late to do anything in life."
