Dharmendra Admitted To ICU, Staff Reveals The Real Reason Behind Hospitalisation, 'The Heart Rate..'

Veteran star, Dharmendra will be turning 90 next month on December 8, 2025. Ahead of that, his being admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital has left his fans concerned. The actor sparked concern among fans after they learnt that he had been hospitalised. While some reports suggest the actor has been in the hospital for 4-5 days now, others say he is only undergoing a routine checkup and is well.

Dharmendra was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital

It was on October 31, 2025, when journalist Vickey Lalwani took to his social media handle and claimed that Dharmendra was rushed to the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after he complained of breathlessness. The video shared showed that the actor had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). He would be quoted as saying:

"Dharmendra came in complaining of breathlessness. He is in the ICU, and he is sleeping now. He came in complaining of breathlessness. He is in the ICU."

The real reason behind Dharmendra's hospitalisation was revealed

On November 1, 2025, an unnamed staff member at Breach Candy Hospital shared an update on the actor. The person revealed that Dharmendra was now stable and there was nothing to worry about. They also revealed that his heart rate, blood pressure and urine output are fine. They were quoted as saying:

"No, right now, nothing to worry. He is stable. His parameters are okay—the heart rate is 70, and the blood pressure is 140/80. His urine output is also good."

Reports of Dharmendra's hospitalisation made headlines on the evening of October 31, 2025, after a source cited by India Today claimed that someone might have spotted him at the hospital. They claimed that he was fine and must have been visiting the hospital for a regular check-up. However, just a little later, another NDTV report claimed that the actor has been in the hospital for the past five days. The source told India Today:

"Someone may have spotted him and created a news piece. He is absolutely fine, and there's nothing to worry about. He is in great spirits and just went for his scheduled tests." 

Dharmendra underwent eye surgery earlier in 2025

Dharmendra underwent an eye graft surgery earlier in 2025. A video of him walking out of the hospital with a bandaged eye had gone viral. He then told the paps that he is extremely strong and that he still has a lot of strength. He had revealed that he had had an eye graft (corneal transplantation) done.

The film is already generating significant anticipation. Helmed by Sriram Raghavan and backed by Maddock Films, it is set to hit the big screen in December 2025. The film is based on the incredible true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his bravery in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The film marks the big-screen debut of Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia, niece of actor Akshay Kumar.
