Dharmendra's family chose the Khandala farmhouse as the celebration spot because it holds a special place in the Ikkis actor's life. The veteran star spent the latter part of his life there with his first wife, Prakash Kaur, as a peaceful retreat from city life. Even though the Khandala farmhouse holds great sentimental value for the Deol family, they decided not to celebrate Dharmendra's birth anniversary there. As per reports from News9live and Patrika News, the venue has been shifted to Mumbai at the last minute. Sunny Deol and family decided to hold the public tribute event at Dharmendra's Juhu residence in Mumbai.

Dharmendra's special meet-and-greet event venue for his 90th birthday was shifted from Khandala to Mumbai because of travel constraints. They wanted to make it easier for fans to reach the venue, while keeping in mind the travel difficulties they might face to reach the farmhouse. The Juhu bungalow is in a prime location, with easy access to public transport, making it easier for more admirers of Dharmendra to attend the event and pay their respects to the beloved 'He-Man'. The birthday celebration will be open to all fans without registration or passes; however, it will reportedly be restricted to media mongers. The event will run for two hours, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
