Dhanashree Verma has once again opened up about her separation from Yuzvendra Chahal during a recent episode of Rise and Fall. During the show, she was seen interacting with her co-contestant, Arbaaz Patel, when she mentioned that she had supported the Indian cricketer even when he was wrong, and she deeply regretted her decision. The conversation came after Arbaaz's girlfriend expressed her strong dislike towards Dhanashree.
After Nikki Tamboli left the show, Dhanashree was left immensely hurt by her strong dislike towards her. She was then seen talking to Arbaaz Patel about his girlfriend's behaviour and expressed her hurt over the same. She shared that a person who has already gotten so much hate from the world stood by him, only ever asking him to mend his ways. She stated:
"I couldn’t sleep the whole night, just kept crying, I didn’t feel good about a lot of things. It has been very difficult for me to do this show. I know, a person like me, who has received so much hate from outside, has a friend who is hated on the show, and I still stood by you. I never said anything other than how I have been asking you to mend your ways. You are my friend and will stay that."
In the same conversation, Dhanashree further got emotional as she recalled her past with Yuzvendra Chahal. She told Arbaaz Patel that she might have acted differently for a few days, but that was for her own safety. Instead of being thankful, Nikki came and badmouthed her. She added that she didn't need the drama, as she had already put in more than enough effort justifying herself. She was quoted as saying:
"I must have behaved differently for a day or two, but that was for my safety. Everyone asked me to maintain a distance from you. The least I deserved from Nikki was a thank you. I have put more effort into this friendship than necessary, but I want to step back because I have justified myself too much. I don’t want to do this. I have done this in my life, even when my partner was wrong, I supported him, and then I repented it, so I don’t want that repeated."
In a previous episode of Rise and Fall, Dhanashree Verma was seen discussing her relationship with Yuzvendra Chahal. She revealed details of their engagement, marriage, and eventual split, some of which shocked the public. Talking to Arjun Bijlani, Dhanashree shared how her and Yuzi's wedding was a mix of love and arranged. She elaborated that it started off as an arranged marriage, as the cricketer wanted to get married without dating, and she hadn't even planned for anything like that. Dhanashree further said Yuzi was sure about her from the beginning, while she needed convincing.
She recalled how she started seeing changes in Yuzvendra's behaviour right after their Roka ceremony, but she trusted him. Dhanashree shared that she noticed him changing, but the problem with her was that she gives too much to the people around her. She was quoted as saying:

"I travelled with him, and we stayed together. I started seeing subtle changes in his behaviour. There is a notable difference between how people behave when they want something and when they have it. Even though I saw him changing, I put my trust in him and the relationship. My problem is that I tend to give too many chances to the people around me. But eventually, I finished it. I tried to do everything I could from my side and give one hundred per cent. I’ll always be concerned for him; that much I can guarantee."
