Dhanashree Verma Takes A Dig At Ex-Husband, Yuzvendra Chahal, In The Reality Show, 'Rise And Fall'

While the internet is buzzing with the excitement around Salman Khan's recently started reality show, Bigg Boss 19, another show is all set to grab the spotlight. Hours ago, the promo of an upcoming reality show, Rise and Fall, was released and what is catching the maximum attention is one line of Dhanashree Verma, in which she takes a dig at her ex-husband, Yuzvendra Chahal.

In the recently released promo of the upcoming reality show, Rise and Fall, one of the confirmed contestants, Dhanashree Verma took a dig at her ex-husband, Yuzvendra Chahal. The promo first showed Kiku Sharda and when he mentioned the word, ‘trust’, the camera cuts to Dhanashree sitting with a cricket ball, who said that her trust has been broken several times. That one line was enough to remind the viewers of the very loud and public divorce of Dhanashree and Chahal. 

Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal’s divorce

Cricketer, Yuzvendra Chahal and actor-dancer, Dhanashree Verma, tied the knot in an intimate wedding in December 2020, with a dream to live happily. But that didn’t really happen as by 2025, the two were legally divorced. Reportedly, the reason for the divorce was that after marriage, Yuzi wanted to live with his parents in Haryana, while Dhanashree wanted to shift to Mumbai. Reportedly, this jhagda became the root cause for their marriage to end so soon. 

Later, what was supposed to be a private matter became a national gossip in March 2025, when Yuzi’s t-shirt grabbed attention during the final hearing. His t-shirt said, ‘Be your own sugar daddy’, which seemed to be an indirect message for his ex-wife. Somewhere, the message on his t-shirt also approved of the trolls who called Dhanashree a gold digger. 

More about the reality show, Rise and Fall

On August 25, 2025, Amazon MX Player released the promo of its upcoming reality show, Rise and Fall, which will be hosted by an Indian businessman and Shark Tank fame, Ashneer Grover. The promo of the show suggests an entirely new theme, which will keep the audience hooked. The show is all set to premiere on Amazon MX Player, from September 6, 2025. 

The promo gives a little glimpse about the show's format, as it shows two different worlds, one is a luxury penthouse for the 'Rulers', and the second one is an old basement for the 'Workers'. Possibly, the idea is to struggle, stop other fellow 'workers' and reach the luxury penthouse, while the ‘Rulers’ have to fight to stay in the penthouse.

The promo also gives a quick glimpse of a few confirmed contestants, which includes popular faces like comedian, Kiku Sharda, actors, Arjun Bijlani, Dhanashree Verma and Kubbra Sait. The 2-minute long promo features Kiku and Kubbra ruling in the luxury space, while Dhanashree and Arjun fight in the basement.

More about Dhanashree Verma

Dhanashree Verma was born on September 27, 1996, in Dubai. She trained in classical dance at a very young age. Later, Dhanashree earned a dentistry degree from DY Patil Dental College. Over the years, she became a full-time digital creator and entrepreneur. Most recently, she appeared in the song, Ting Ling Sajna, from the film, Bhool Chuk Maaf.
