Dhanashree Verma Breaks Silence On Claims Of Asking Rs. 60 Crore Alimony, 'Why Did He Do It..'

Dhanahsree Verma is currently seen in the reality show, Rise and Fall. During her appearances inside the house, she has often discussed her life and divorce from cricketer, Yuzvendra Chahal. Recently, she addressed the claims of demanding huge alimony and reflected on their four-year-long marriage. 

Dhanashree Verma reacted to the buzz around the claims of seeking huge alimony

Recently, Dhanashree revisited her divorce from Yuzvendra Chahal and stated that the rumours about alimony were untrue. She told the host, Aditya Narayan, that it has been almost a year officially. Dhanashree further revealed that when people called, she had taken 'alimony', which is wrong as it was a mutual agreement. Dhanashree was quoted as saying:

"Officially, it has been almost a year. It happened quickly because it was mutual, that’s why when people say alimony, it’s wrong. Just because I am not saying anything, you will go on saying anything? My parents have taught me to only justify to people whom I care about. Why waste time explaining those who don’t even know you?"

Dhanashree also talked about their marriage and revealed that she had been married to Yuzvendra for years, and before that, they had dated each other for 6-7 months. She even talked about the accusation of seeking Rs. 60 crore alimony; she stated it was untrue. She felt worse and didn't know why he did that. However, she added that she will always keep his respect. She said:

"Eventually, you get hurt when you see that happening. It was not needed. None of it is true. I felt worse wondering why did he do it? It’s okay, I will always keep his respect, that is what I believe in. Now, I don’t think I can date anybody."

When Dhanashree talked about Yuzvendra's last message, which he wore on his t-shirt on the day of divorce

Earlier, Dhanashree Verma sat for an interview with Humans of Bombay, wherein she bared her heart out for the first time about her divorce, ugly name-calling, and being blamed for it all. When the host questioned her about Yuzvendra Chahal's t-shirt drama, Dhanashree shared that she knew people were going to blame her even before the t-shirt stunt happened. She said:

"We came out peeche se, mai ne toh normal t-shirt pehni hai, humko thuri dikhana hai camera ke aage aake kuch batana hai. So, I went peeche ke raaste se and I went and sat in my car. And my friend was there with me and we were still trying to grasp our breath. It was that shaky moment of your life and you know people are going to blame you only. Even before this t-shirt stunt happened, we all were aware that people are going to blame me for this because of the pattern."

Dhanashree further revealed her thoughts when she found out about Yuzvendra's t-shirt and the words written on it. She was left in shock, having not expected him to pull off such a stunt. Furthermore, when the host told her that Chahal had shared in an interview that he wanted to convey his message. Dhanashree expressed her thoughts, stating that he could have WhatsApped her, but why on a T-shirt?
