Dhanashree Verma REACTS To Her Rs. 60 Crore Alimony Buzz From Yuzvendra, 'Why Did He Do It?'

Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal dated for 6-7 months before they got married in 2020. The couple had been together for several years before they parted ways back in March 2025. Like every time, when a divorce occurs, all the fingers get automatically pointed to the girl, and Dhanashree was no exception. She was character assassinated, and was even called 'gold digger', with wild guesses about her getting Rs. 60 crore alimony from the cricketer. Dhanashree has now broken her silence about the speculations surrounding her receiving crores of alimony for divorcing her ex-husband, Yuzvendra Chahal.

Dhanashree Verma, a contestant on Rise and Fall, recently spoke about her split with Yuzvendra Chahal. Dhanashree revealed that it had been almost a year since their split, and it was quick because it was mutual. Dhanashree further shared that people bringing 'alimony' talks into it feel really wrong. She questioned whether people should continuously point fingers at her and talk about her, just because she's not saying anything about it.

Dhanashree added that her parents taught her to justify herself to people she cares about, and for the same reason, she doesn't feel the need to explain things to everyone, as she considers it a complete waste of time. Dhanashree can be quoted as saying:

"Officially, it has been almost a year. It happened quickly because it was mutual, that’s why when people say alimony, it’s wrong. Just because I am not saying anything, you will go on saying anything? My parents have taught me to only justify to people whom I care about. Why waste time explaining those who don’t even know you?"

Dhanashree Verma, in the same episode, revealed that she and Yuzvendra dated for 6-7 months before getting married, and they had been together for four years. She was further asked about the speculations about her Rs. 60 crore alimony from Yuzi. She mentioned that eventually, all these things just hurt, as they didn't all need to happen. She clarified that nothing was true while claiming that she felt worse thinking about how Yuzi could even do this. She further stated that she will always respect his privacy, and now believes she can't date anyone else. Dhanashree said:

"Eventually, you get hurt when you see that happening. It was not needed. None of it is true. I felt worse wondering why did he do it? It’s okay, I will always keep his respect, that is what I believe in. Now, I don’t think I can date anybody."

Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Verma's divorce was finalised back in March 2025. On the day of the final hearing, Yuzvendra Chahal donned a shirt with the inscription 'Be Your Own Sugar Daddy'. A print on his t-shirt during Dhanashree Verma's hearing for Rs. 60 crore alimony caused a stir on social media. It was a few weeks ago when Dhanashree was asked about the same. She revealed that on that day, while she was mentally prepared for ending her relationship with Yuzi, she was just howling when it was finalised.

Dhanashree further shared that when she saw what was going on with Yuzi wearing that t-shirt, she stopped crying, as she thought it was worthless. When the interviewer revealed that Yuzi wanted to convey a message by wearing that t-shirt, as claimed by him, Dhanashree jokingly added that the cricketer could just send a WhatsApp message, without making it public like that.
