Devoleena Bhattacharjee is one of the most popular actresses on television. She is currently seen in Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya. Coming to her personal life, the actress tied the knot with her beau, Shanawaz Shaikh in December 2022, in an intimate court wedding in Lonavala. Following her wedding, the couple faced immense backlash for their decision to have an inter-faith marriage, but she too, never missed the chance to give a befitting reply to those critics.
Ever since her wedding, rumours have also often been rife about Devoleena Bhattacharjee's pregnancy. In a recent interview with News18 Showsha, a source close to the actress revealed that the rumours are true. The source also mentioned that the actress is in her initial days of pregnancy, but she does not plan to reveal it anytime soon for personal reasons. The source said:

“She is (pregnant) but she does not want to announce it as of now. Devoleena likes to keep her personal matters away from the limelight and therefore she does not want to give any media attention to her pregnancy as of now. But surely, she will announce the good news whenever she feels the time is right."

Earlier, when reports about Devoleena’s pregnancy surfaced on social media, she reacted to the same in an interview with News18 Showsha. She revealed that those rumours and phone calls following them, irritate her. Moreover, she stated that this time, these rumours shocked her and added:
“If you talk about fans or any random people, they write anything. They do it. They’ll write things to judge or troll you. I get irritated when I get messages or calls asking about rumours. If it is my personal life, I’ll tell you whenever I feel like it. Don’t bother me or don’t worry about it. Everything has the right time. There are so many rumours about me which I laugh at. I was shocked. There’s nothing one can do about it.”
In the same conversation, Devoleena called the rumours fake and mentioned that she doesn’t get affected by speculations. But the actress revealed her husband’s reaction to the same and shared that much before such rumours reach him or their families, she ensures to end them. In her words:
“No no, it never bothers me. I don’t let it reach me to that extent. I ensure to put an end to it before it reaches my husband or family.”

It was when she shared a couple of photos from her vacation to the beachside on her Instagram feed. She looked gorgeous in a cream-toned dress teamed with a sleeveless jacket. However, Devoleena's dress was hugging her curves; thus, netizens soon spotted her bloated belly, which resulted in the rumours that she was pregnant with her first child.
