Denise Richards And Aaron Phypers' Ugly Divorce, She Breaks Down In Court, Says 'Almost Killed Me..'

Denise Richards is the most famous Hollywood actress. From her famous roles in Wild Things and The World Is Not Enough, she even left a striking mark with her appearance on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Recently, Denise made headlines when she shared shocking details of her marriage with Aaron Phypers in court. She broke down, recalling how he would trash her.

Denise Richards breaks down in the court as she recalls the ordeal she faced in her marriage with Aaron Phypers

Denise Richards levied multiple violence allegations against her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers. According to PageSix Report, an eyewitness, Kathleen McAllister, claimed that she witnessed Phypers assaulting Richards on more than one occasion while supporting Denise's request for a permanent restraining order.

On October 6, 2025, the exes attended a court hearing related to a restraining order. While giving her testimony, the 54-year-old actress broke down as she claimed that she was physically abused in their relationship. She went on to reveal that Phypers would often threaten to throw her out of the windows and from the balconies of the hotels. With tears in her eyes, she claimed that he had almost killed her so many times. She said:

"He’s almost killed me so many damn times."

Recalling a specific incident which led to their split, Richards stated that she asked Phypers to leave their shared townhouses. He got extremely angry and volatile. She had just recovered from a full facelift and still had stitches behind her ears, and she was left extremely vulnerable. She said:

"He got very angry at me and volatile, he got very close to me. I had just recovered from a full facelift and I still had stitches behind my ears, and I felt extremely vulnerable. He would get as close as a couple of inches from my face."

Talking about their arguments, Denise Richards revealed that their arguments would get physical within moments, and he would grab her arms, he would yell at her, call her names and accuse her of cheating. She claimed that she was extremely vulnerable and in pain when she suggested her estranged husband stay at their old house, where his family was living at that time. Richards further stated that she left their shared townhome and slept on her office's sofa next door. She said:

“Emotionally, it was hard for me to understand. Especially with having what he has done for a living, working in the wellness space, that he would know how much that this would affect me emotionally too. And it just made me feel vulnerable, it made me feel scared, it made me feel sad. It made me feel intimidated by him. He’s very big. I’m a lot smaller than him."

Denise further claimed that Phhypers came into her room with his father and allegedly threatened her to release her naked photos found on her phone in April. Not only did this Phyper hold her left hand, but she also hit the back of her left ear before leaving the space. She claimed that he aggressively flipped her baseball cap, while she had stitched on one side of the ear, and it caused bleeding. She revealed that she was in pain as she had incisions on both sides. When she confronted him for hurting her, he denied it.

Richard stated that when she decided to call his mother and was about to dial 911, he threatened her by saying that something dangerous would happen to her and she would disappear. In September 2025, Denise got a temporary restraining order against Phypers, but he returned to take his laptop. She accused him of taking her phone, which she hid in her shorts. In order to get the phone, he grabbed both her arms and pushed her down the stairs. She stated that he left by taking his laptop, along with her purse and credit cards.

Denise and Aaron met in 2017 and fell deeply in love with each other. In September 2018, they got married, and she decided to adopt Denise's daughter. However, their fairytale love story ended in July 2024, when Aaron filed for divorce.
