Demi Moore Reveals Her Ritual With Ex-Husband, Bruce Willis, Know Their Divorce Reason After 13 Yrs

Eventually, the couple even had three daughters; however they took the decision to part ways after 13 years of togetherness. Recently, the actress shared a sweet and special ritual from her marriage with Bruce. Amid that know the reason behind their divorce.

According to multiple reports, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis met in 1987, at a film screening. The two instantly became friends and eventually fell in love. It is worth mentioning that at that time both Demi and Bruce were at the peak of their career. Later, in November 1987, the two got married to each other. Soon, they embraced parenthood with three daughters, Rumer (1988), Scout (1991) and Tallulah (1994).

However, as years passed, Bruce and Demi started to face issues in their marriage. After 13 years of togetherness, the two announced their separation in 1998, and their divorce was finalised in 2000. It is worth mentioning that despite their split, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis chose to be on good terms for the sake of their children. Over the years, they were even spotted at events together.

Why did Bruce Willis and Demi Moore head for a divorce after 13 years?

While the exact reason for their divorce has not been disclosed, multiple reports claim that the reason behind the same was Demi’s growing popularity and fame. It is worth mentioning that both Demi and Bruce gradually grew apart. Since both of them were at the peak of their careers, they often used to be involved in long shooting schedules and frequent travel. 

This made it difficult for them to spend quality time together. Later, Demi had revealed another reason for her divorce with Bruce. She had shared that Bruce wanted a traditional family setup with less focus on career. However, Demi was not ready to give up her identity or career ambitions. Years later, the two parted ways because of the same issues.

Soon after their divorce in 2000, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis made multiple public appearances. In 2001, Demi supported her ex-husband at the premiere of the film, Bandits. Their three daughters were also present. Later, in 2019, Bruce Willis supported Demi Moore at her book launch. Days after the book launch, Demi revealed that she and Bruce have gotten more close after their divorce.

Recently, Demi Moore answered a few fan questions at the screening of Song Sung Blue. During the same, she recalled a special music ritual of Bruce Willis. She shared that her ex-husband used to celebrate Neil Diamond Day every week. On that day, he used to play Neil Diamond’s music nonstop. Demi further stated that initially she found the ritual weird; however, she soon got used to it. Demi Moore was quoted as saying:

"This is a little personal thing, but Bruce always had every week, Neil Diamond Day. Watching the movie just kept reminding me of when he would blast Neil Diamond, and I’d say, ‘What’s going on?’ And he said, No, it’s Neil Diamond Day. He played Neil throughout the day. He kept on doing that for years. He was a huge Neil fan. And so am I!"
