Deepika Padukone and Farah Khan's long-standing friendship has reportedly come to an end. The director-actor's relationship, which started on a positive note, seems to have strained after Farah Khan took a dig at her request for fewer work hours. For the unversed, Farah Khan was the one, who launched the actress, Deepika in Om Shanti Om.
Deepika and Farah have been close friends for a long time, but their relationship has soured, and fans caught sight of their recent social media activities as the two unfollowed each other silently on Instagram. However, it is worth mentioning that Ranveer Singh still follows Farah Khan on his Instagram account, while the choreographer-turned-YouTuber has also unfollowed him.
In one of her YouTube vlogs, Farah Khan, who visited Radhikka Madan, seemingly expressed her thoughts on an 8-hour work shift. When Radhikka Madan talked about her first audition for Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi, Farah asked her if she had an 8-hour shift. To which Radhikka replied that she had worked 56 hours non-stop or 48 hours non-stop in the past. At this point, Farah expressed that she also doesn't support an 8-hour work shift.
Not only this, Farah Khan visited Rohit Saraf's house with her cook, Dilip, in her recent vlog, and took a dig at Deepika Padukone. Rohit revealed that his mother appeared on the camera for the first time for Farah's vlog, and that she made them wait for a year. Farah joked that Deepika had also not taken that much time to say 'yes' to her film.
Further, Farah's cook, Dilip, asked when Deepika would come to their show. The choreographer replied that the actress only shoots for eight hours now and doesn't have time to be on their vlog. Farah said:

"Jiss din tu gaon jaayega naa uss din aayegi. Deepika Padukone ab sirf 8 ghanta shoot karti hai, usko show pe aane ka time nahi hai."
Deepika Padukone was removed from the second instalment of the superhit film, Kalki. This incident occurred immediately after she exited Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film, Spirit and reports claimed that she demanded fewer working hours and higher pay. According to a report by News18 Showsha, Deepika had already shot for twenty days for the sequel to Prabhas' starrer. However, a source close to the production team revealed that Deepika put across an unjust demand of a 25 per cent hike in her fees. She knew that her role was irreplaceable, due to the attention she garnered in the first instalment of Kalki 2898 AD.
The insider revealed that things took an ugly turn with the way her management approached the pay negotiations. Deepika knew all about the sequel and how a strong performance role was curated for her. The source even added that the schedule for her next shoot was also decided keeping her comfort in mind, so, there was no scope of clash of dates. The source said:
"Deepika Padukone’s demand for a pay hike — significantly higher than 25% — stemmed from her conviction that she is irreplaceable. The real turning point lay in how her management approached the negotiations. Deepika was fully aware of the sequel and the strong, performance-driven role created for her. In fact, she had already filmed nearly 20 days of Part 2 while shooting Part 1 — something director Nag Ashwin himself confirmed in several media interactions. Her schedule for the next phase was always meant to be decided mutually, so the claim of a date clash holds no merit."
