Deepika Padukone is one of the most loved and celebrated Bollywood celebrities, who has been known for her strong on-screen presence and unapologetic off-screen personality. From being an outsider to becoming the official voice of Meta AI, the Chennai Express actress has come a long way. Recently, the globally known actress opened up about her early days, when she was criticised for her voice.
In a recent event at CNBC's Global Leadership Summit, the King actress recalled the days when people used to mock her voice. But now after years, the same voice has been chosen to be the official voice of Meta AI. She was quoted as saying:
"I am someone whose voice was sort of mocked when I came into the industry and now suddenly I am the voice of Meta AI- strange! And my accent, but I continue to own it. I think that's probably how and why it happened."

Later, she continued to talk about the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the current world. Talking about the same, the Padmaavat actress shared that there is one thing that AI would never be able to replace and that is human emotions. Deepika further stated that a soul can’t be infused inside AI, which is why AI won’t be able to match up in this thing. In her words:
"I am so excited about the possibilities, the only thing I believe it cannot replace is human emotion. I think that is the only place where AI will not be allowed or will not be able to match up. Barring human emotion and how an actor would emote, because you can't infuse soul into AI."

At the same event, Deepika Padukone also spoke about her experience of working in Hollywood. For the unversed, Deepika has represented India globally and a few months ago, she was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. At the event, she shared that, whenever she went to the West, she faced multiple stereotypes and cliches, which weren’t even true about India. She shared:
"I think what bothered me every time I went to the West was this sort of idea of India they have. It is so different from the country that I know. I have experienced all those clichés firsthand — whether it has to do with casting, our accent, or the colour of my skin. I was clear that I wanted to do it my way and on my terms."

Deepika Padukone was born on January 5, 1986, and she is the daughter of badminton player, Prakash Padukone. Deepika Padukone made her acting debut with Om Shanti Om and later went on to hit films like Piku, Padmaavat, Chhapaak, Pathaan, Singham Again and more. Currently, she has begun the filming of King. In her personal life, Deepika is married to Ranveer Singh and the power couple have a daughter together, Dua. On Diwali 2025, the couple revealed the face of their little angel.
