Deepika Padukone To Star In Hollywood Film After 'Kalki 2' Exit? Vin Diesel Says, 'Next Adventure..'

Deepika Padukone has established herself as a superstar in both Indian and global cinema. However, her recent back-to-back exits from major projects, such as Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit and Vyjayanthi Movies' Kalki 2898 AD sequel, have come as a shock to many of her fans. However, Deepika shrugged off these setbacks by announcing her entry into Shah Rukh Khan's next film King. Amidst this, new reports are circulating, suggesting that she might appear in her next Hollywood film alongside Vin Diesel.

Vin Diesel's new film updates hint at Deepika Padukone's next Hollywood film?

Vin Diesel recently took to his Instagram account and expressed gratitude to a global audience, hinting that many of his iconic characters will return to the screen to tell 'stories that all resonate with something deep inside'. The actor mentioned his return as 'Groot' for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as 'Riddick' for the Riddick franchise, as 'Dominic' for the Fast and Furious franchise, and as 'Xander Cage' for the next instalment of XXX. The actor shared on his Instagram:

"So much to share… iconic stories that all resonate with something deep inside. A global audience who has literally been the blessing of this artist’s life. Groot’s return in the Arbor King, that infamous New York Detective, Kaulder’s Oath, Xander’s next adventure in Mumbai, Street racers reunited in LA, and of course, the Furyan…Grateful for you all…Hope to make you proud."

In this caption, the mention of 'Xander's next adventure in Mumbai' caught the attention of his Indian fans. This has led to speculations with many reports claiming that Deepika Padukone will be starring in her second Hollywood film. For the unversed, Deepika starred as 'Serene Unger' in the third instalment of XXX. The actress portrayed the love interest of Vin Diesel's 'Xander Cage'. Hence, the fourth part of the franchise set in Mumbai hints that Deepika will be reprising her role as 'Serene' in the upcoming film.

Deepika Padukone's second Hollywood film rumours amid her exit from Kalki 2898 AD sequel

Vyjayanthi Movies hinted towards 'commitment' issues in a tweet on September 18, 2025, announcing the actress' exit from Kalki 2898 AD sequel. According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Deepika Padukone demanded a 25% increase in her fees, a strict seven-hour workday, and her team was also asked to be provided with five-star accommodation and food reimbursement throughout the shooting process. Earlier, Deepika also quit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit, and similar reports on her alleged demands made the rounds. Two exits within a year and demand rumours have led to questions being raised on the actress' work ethic and professionalism. She has also been trolled over this.

However, following her exit from Spirit, Deepika Padukone joined Atlee Kumar and Allu Arjun's major project, AA22xA6. Similarly, she joined Shah Rukh Khan's multi-starrer film, King, after the producers of Kalki 2898 AD announced that she would not be returning for the sequel. Amidst this, reports suggesting her return to the popular Hollywood film franchise, XXX, have proven that Deepika Padukone's stardom remains intact, despite rumours of her being a 'demanding' actress.
