De De Pyaar De 2, starring Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh and R. Madhavan has been released in theatres on November 14, 2025. For the unversed, the film directed by Anshul Sharma is a sequel to the 2019 romantic-comedy film, De De Pyaar De. De De Pyaar De 2 follows the story of ‘Ashish’ and ‘Ayesha’, who fall in love despite a huge age gap. And now they are taking permission from their families to move ahead and get married. As soon as the film was released, a lot of users took to their X (formerly Twitter) handles and shared their review on the same. Majorly, viewers loved the film. The only difference is that some users appreciated the humour of the film, while others appreciated the acting of Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan and Rakul Preet Singh.

One user commented, "The theatre was laughing, smiling, and fully involved, that’s how you know a movie works. And Ajay–Maddy scenes are just too enjoyable." Another user wrote, "The final 15 minutes are honestly the most fun part, such a satisfying finish to a wholesome family entertainer. And Ajay–Madhavan are brilliant together!" Plot of the film, De De Pyaar De 2

De De Pyaar De 2 is a story of 'Ashish Mehra' (played by Ajay Devgn), who falls in love with 'Ayesha' (played by Rakul Preet Singh). After getting the permission of his family, the couple now comes to take permission from 'Ayesha's' parents. Soon, the formal meeting turns chaotic, when 'Ayesha's' father, 'Rakesh' (R. Madhavan) invites 'Ayesha's' childhood friend to win her heart. Overall, the film is a fun, chaotic and humorous roller coaster ride.

How much did the cast of De De Pyaar De 2 charge for their role?

Even though, the salaries of the cast were not confirmed by the actors or the makers, multiple reports suggested an alleged amount that the stars would have taken. Reportedly, Ajay Devgn took home Rs. 40 crore for playing the role of ‘Ashish’, where his love interest in the film, Rakul Preet Singh earned Rs. 4.5 crore. Apart from them, R. Madhavan reportedly charged Rs. 9 crore, Jaaved Jaaferi took home Rs. 2-3 crore and Gautami Kapoor charged around Rs. 1 crore for her role as ‘Ayesha’s’ mother.
