Television actress Dalljiet Kaur is going through a difficult phase in her life. The actress, who earlier got married to Shalin Bhanot, tied the knot for the second time with a Kenya-based businessman, Nikhil Patel. However, her second marriage also didn't last long, and the actress is still fighting her divorce battle with Nikhil. Recently, the duo had a court hearing in Kenya, and Dalljiet shared details about the same on social media.
Taking to her IG stories, on August 22, 2024, Dalljiet Kaur shared a long note revealing how her court hearing went. She shared that Nikhil and his lawyers were trying to justify that there was no wedding. However, when the actress filed an FIR in India, she was told that the pictures of her and Nikhil's traditional wedding were enough proof to put the latter behind bars. Dalljiet penned:

"Today was my court hearing in Kenya for all those who want to know what's going on. His lawyers are only proving one point to the judge that there was no wedding. While lodging the FIR, the Indian police told me traditions with witnesses were enough to put him behind bars if he refused marriage. Let's see what happens, but shame on him and his family to refuse that there was a wedding."

Further in her note, Dalljiet mentioned an Instagram user and asked them whether they all invited their wives to cultural events or if she was the only one being taken to get-togethers as a mistress. She also mentioned that the legal undertaking that was given to her parents that her wedding with Nikhil would be registered soon is now being used as a declaration of them not being married. She wrote:
"@watukenya your top leaders attended a cultural event? Didn't you all invite a wife to all the get-togethers at your place? Or was I a mistress being invited? Interesting to know the legal undertaking, which was meant to convince my parents that you guys will not do a fraud and will stick to registering the moment the decree comes, now is being told was a declaration of not being married."
Dalljiet further revealed that Nikhil's lawyers called her again and again and informed her that his first divorce was signed. However, she further added that she doesn't expect anything anymore and that she is ashamed to have added Patel to her name. Recalling how she fasted for Nikhil on Karwachauth, Dalljiet shared:
"Why did your lawyer call me and tell me that the divorce was signed and not being contested? And that on the basis of the signed divorce, your ex-wife took the younger kid to America?? Twisting words is your forte. But truth is mine! I don't expect anything anymore, but I truly am ashamed to have become a Patel. I am ashamed of you that you are proving you are not married to me. You should have told me this on Karwachauth too where I was fasting for my husband till 11:30 at night, I should have relished food that day instead! Shame on you Nikhil."

In the concluding segment of her note, Dalljiet mentioned that while she made friends, she hoped that they would be by her side, especially after witnessing whatever happened to her. However, she added that she doesn't need anyone's support now, as she is enough for herself. Dalljiet penned:
"I don't need anyone who saw everything to stick by me anymore. I am enough for myself, and I am not scared of those who would rather hide in the closet than support me at this time. I made friends thinking you all were like Indians who stand by the truth!"
