Dalljiet Kaur, who will next be seen in Guddan... Tumse Na Ho Payega, talked to the Times of India about her second marriage. Sharing that her parents are looking for her Mr Right, she was quoted as saying, "I want to get married and it will happen soon. My parents are looking for Mr Right. I have also been meeting a couple of guys. But it is a little different this time. Now I have a huge responsibility, I am a mother first and then I will be a wife. It will be the other way round."
Dalljiet Kaur has also shared that she won't marry an actor from her industry as she is looking for a stable man in her life, who is well-settled. The 36-year-old single mother shared, "I am very humbled that good men are approaching me. I got quite a few offers from actors, but the guy will not be from the industry. This doesn’t mean that I look down upon it, I am from the same fraternity. But right now, I am looking for stability so he will probably be a businessman, someone who is well settled. I am looking for a good, respectable family and not someone who is still experimenting because I think woh age chali gayi hai."
Commenting on her son, Jaydon and how often he meets his father, Dalljiet further revealed to the TOI, "I got separated and moved out when he wasn’t even one. He doesn’t remember living with Shaleen. They only meet once in a while. Although Shaleen has been very respectful, we don’t meet him that often. I am the one dropping Jaydon, picking him up, he travels with me. There is a huge void definitely. My son keeps talking about his friends and their fathers and he misses that companionship. I think he is prepared to have a father now.” She further added “I am more prepared than ever. Earlier, I used to chicken out. But now, I am looking forward to this new phase." But I am not in too much hurry for it like they are. At the same time, I am very open to marriage. If I get someone charming, I will go ahead right away."
She had also added that it will be an arranged marriage for her this time, “I think it will be an arranged marriage. Maine apna try karke dekh liya kuch naa hua. So now, my parents will do the needful. They know better than us what we need. And after such an experience (she had a very ugly divorce with Shalin Bhanot), they are taking care of a lot many things."
Dalljiet Kaur and Shaleen Bhanot's divorce had come as a shock to everyone. Commenting on the same, the Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka actress had shared with a tabloid, "All that is not going to happen. I am in a very peaceful space. If not happy or content. No doubt it was a tough phase. I am no more revengeful or have any angst. I am done with that phase. I don't hold any regrets, grudge or ego. If Shaleen wants to co-exist, I am fine with it. My only priority is my son and his happiness. I am doing all that it needs to be a good single mother. If Shaleen can be a good father to him and can contribute to my son's upbringing and towards his happiness, I am content. I want my son to grow up as a happy person. For that, if Shaleen wants to meet him for a minute or 10 hours I have no problem. I am ready to co-exist."
