D4vd Case: Lake Elsinore Community Organises A Vigil For 15-Year-Old, Was Found Dead In Singer's Car

A Lake Elsinore community gathered together to mourn the tragic demise of the 15-year-old, Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The young teen was found dismembered in the trunk of an impounded Tesla registered to a rising R&B singer named D4vd with millions of fans and followers. According to reports, Celeste went missing in April 2024, when she was only 13 years old. The tragic revelation has created a massive buzz online and left the community heartbroken as they navigate through this tragic time.

A vigil was organised in memory of Celeste Rivas Hernandez 

Celeste Rivas Hernandez's tragic murder has left the Lake Elsinore community heartbroken. To mourn the loss of the young soul, the members of the community arranged for a vigil. For the unversed, a vigil is a period when you stay awake all night for a special purpose. The candlelit memorial was heart-touching and equally sad, with people asking that Celeste be brought to justice.

What happened to Celeste Rivas Hernandez?

Celeste Rivas Hernandez went missing in April 2024, and detectives discovered her decomposed and mutilated remains on September 8, 2025. The findings were made after an employee at Hollywood Tow reported a foul stench coming from a Tesla that had been in the yard for about five days. The car was towed after being reported abandoned in the Hollywood Hills. However, things took a turn when the Tesla with the Texas plate was found to be registered to David Anthony Burke.

A hugely popular musician from Texas who performs under the alias D4vd. The vehicle was reportedly found not far from the Hollywood Hills home he was renting for USD 20,000 a month. While the police were unable to arrest D4vd, given the lack of evidence, some disturbing details have emerged that tie the singer to the deceased teen, including alleged matching tattoos on their right index fingers with the letters "Shhh" and a leaked demo song titled, Celeste. 

According to a former science teacher at Lakeland Village School in Lake Elsinore, Celeste met the singer, D4vd, on social media and had run away to Hollywood to meet up with him months before she was reported missing. However, no one imagined that over a year later, even her remains would be hard to identify. 

D4vd has cancelled his upcoming shows due to the investigation. However, there is nothing that links him directly to the murder of Celeste. Nonetheless, the investigators are nowhere near ready to let the singer off the hook. While it's still unclear whether Celeste met with D4vd, many parents who attended the vigil have shared that while they didn't know Celeste and her family, they can easily imagine the nightmare her family has been living. One of the attendees stated:

"This really hits home as a mom. This could have been anybody’s kid."
