Criminal Justice Season 4 Ending Explained: Who Is Real Murderer Of 'Roshni Saluja' And More

The latest and final episode of actor, Pankaj Tripathi's series, Criminal Justice Season 4, is out and receiving a lot of praise from the audience. The classic courtroom drama has left fans raving about the fourth season since the release of its trailer. It won't be wrong to say that the ending adds the right pinch of drama to the series, featuring Pankaj Tripathi, Asha Negi, and more phenomenal actors. Who is the murderer in the Criminal Justice Season 4

In the fourth season of the famous OTT show, Criminal Justice, Dr. Raj Nagpal has a broken marriage with Anju Nagpal (played by Surveen Chawla). They also have a daughter, who has Asperger's syndrome. However, the twist in the story is that Raj has an open affair with a nurse at his hospital, named Roshni Saluja (played by Asha Negi).

It is worth adding that Raj's estranged wife, Anju lives in the opposite room of Raj's home, and would often visit his place to check on their daughter. On the other hand, Roshni has been taking care of Ira. But things turned tragic when Roshni was found dead after the birthday party of Ira, and it was Dr. Raj Nagpal who was discovered holding her blood-covered body. 

Soon, Raj was taken into custody in the series as the prime suspect. To save her husband, Anju hired an advocate, Madhav Mishra (played by Pankaj Tripathi), who investigated the truth and discovered a lot of secrets about Roshini. She was jealous of Raj's estranged wife, as he was neither giving her a divorce nor accepting her in public. 

Later, Anju also became a suspect in the murder and was taken into custody. She soon admitted that she is the murderer of Roshni as she saw the latter was poisoning her daughter, Ira. She stated that during a huge fight, she accidentally hurt Roshni's neck with a scalpel, which led to a loss of blood, and she died on the spot. After which, she was arrested. 

Madhav Mishra finds the real murderer by solving the case

While many would think that Anju was the real killer, she isn't. In fact, when Raj went on to meet Madhav Mishra in his office to thank him for saving his life, he revealed that his wife was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, stage 4, which made the lawyer doubt his findings. He re-analysed the whole case and found out that Anju took all the blame to save her husband, Raj and their daughter, Ira. After this, he went to the hospital to meet Anju, and during their conversation, she admitted that it was actually Raj who saw Roshni poisoning Ira, and he murdered her with the scalpel. While Raj begged Anju to save him, she hid all the evidence. 

Madhav Mishra fell prey to Anju's trap as she had also worked as a lawyer. She knew how the case would turn, and it was the reason she helped Raj, as she was already dying of cancer, and there would be someone to take care of their daughter, Ira. Madhav Mishra recorded the entire confession, but he decided to delete it later for the sake of their family. The show is streaming on JioHotstar.
