Chunky Panday And Bhavana Share 'Golden Rules' From Their 27 Years Of Marriage, 'We Gossip...'

Chunky Panday and Bhavana Pandey have one of the most interesting love stories in Bollywood. At the same time, they are one of the couples in the Industry who have managed to stay together for more than 27 years with unconditional love for one another. Despite not sharing much about their marriage for years, in a new interview, Chunky Panday and Bhavana Pandey opened up about the challenges they faced as a couple and what are a few 'golden rules' they have established for their marriage. 

Chunky Panday reveals the golden rules in his marriage with Bhavana Pandey 

Chunky Panday and Bhavana Pandey recently sat down for an interview with the Hindustan Times and reflected on his 27 years of marriage with Bhavana Pandey. He shared that they have a few golden rules that have helped their bond strong over the years. One of them is that they gossip and fight like friends rather than a couple. It has helped keep the friendship and love intact over the years. At the same time, they don't drag issues for a long time and end it soon because they once shared a bad experience over it. In his words: 

 "We gossip like friends and fight like friends, but the rule is even if we have a difference of opinion, and we have a lot of it, it's healthy. We never go to sleep with that problem. We always resolve it the same day, even if it is a big issue. Once, it continued till the next day, and it was unpleasant. We reach a decision the same day now, and another golden rule is Bhavana is always right."

Sharing her views on using dating apps in the modern world, Bhavana shared that despite the medium, the feeling of love remains the same over generations. However, the way to access it has changed. When she dated Chunky, they could only speak over landline phones and used to hide it from their respective parents. Moreover, they used to eagerly wait for their next meeting. However, since the modern generation is equipped with video calls and social media, they don't experience the same feelings they used to have. 

Chunky Panday reveals his friendship with Bhavana Pandey turned into love 

In the same conversation, Chunky shared that after they began to know each other, they dated for around a year and a half. It was adequate time for him to know that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Bhavana. Consequently, he popped the question to her. In her response, Bhavana, who was quite young in her early 20s, mentioned that she found the Housefull actor older. Yet, she found him charming, and he often made her laugh while they had a great time as friends. She said: 

"We had a lot of fun together like you would with your best friend. But besides all this, I saw a very kind, empathetic side to him. He was very close to his parents and his brother, which also showed a side to him which was endearing."

Chunky Panday and Bhavana Pandey's love story 

Chunky Panday and Bhavana Pandey first met each other at a nightclub. However, they didn't talk much, and later, she contacted him after a year when her friends wanted to see a film set. Gradually, they began to date and fell in love. Despite her parents' hesitancy over Chunky's profession, Bhavana married Chunky Pandey on January 17, 1998. The actor was facing a rough patch in his career, but it soon improved, and the couple became parents to two daughters, actress, Ananya Panday and Rysa Panday.
