“Never thought making a simple dance reel would be so liberating! I can move my hands and twin with my princess, aur kya chahiye. #grateful for recovering nicely from the surgery. Radiation is going well too. So far so good. One day at a time #dancereels #reels #cancerupdate #chhavimittal.”

Earlier, in an interview with ETimes, Chhavi Mittal was asked how she told her 9-year-old daughter, Areeza, about her breast cancer. To this, she had shared that she had asked her daughter to stay positive as her nani would be there by her side. Chhavi also revealed that Areeza knows about cancer as the kid had lost her great-grandmother to oesophagal cancer. She had also added that when Areeza had realised that Chhavi was also suffering from cancer, the little one had started crying. She had shared:

"I sat her down and told her that I am very unwell. She looked at me quizzically and wanted to know what it was. I told her it's a problem and I am going to fix it. I added that if I am not here for a few days, then she should not worry as Nani would be coming down and staying with her. She knows about cancer as I had lost my Nani to esophageal cancer. She turned around and said, 'Mummy, is it that?' I said, 'Yes'. And, she started crying."

Further, in the same conversation, the doting mommy had revealed how she had managed to convince her daughter that she would be fine after the surgery. Chhavi shared that Areeza had wanted to be there by her side in the hospital, but she had asked her to stay at home. Adding that she didn't want her baby girl to see her like that, Chhavi had revealed that she had no energy to get up and even go to the washroom after her surgery. She had concluded by saying:

"I picked her in my lap and explained to her that unlike in Nani's case, I am not old and I shall recover. I told her I would be hospitalized but I would be back in the gym soon. She said she would like to stay in the hospital like my mom and husband had parked themselves. She wanted to look after me. But I explained to her that I didn't want her to see me like that; initially I couldn't get up and I was getting irritable, it was a struggle for me to even go to the washroom. She understood and she would come for only a while and hold my hand."

Chhavi and her daughter, Areeza are simply an inspiration for all those mommies who suffer from the deadliest disease!
